Exercise - Let's get moving......Thursday

I'M SORE!
I did 2 hours of hoeing, then raking and collecting the weeks.....I feel like I did a full workout. I definitely used some muscles that I have not used since my TT last Sept.
I sure did enjoy getting back into the garden and "playing". I'll be planting some new things this weekend and then won't be touching it for a while....
I checked on-line and with all the time spent in the garden I burned the same amount of calories as if I had worked 7-8 miles. Not bad!!
This will be it for me other than a walk on the treadmill later today so I can get some cardio in.
Anybody else "moving" today?

We are still on the road..this is our eleventh day and we are now on the Gulf Coast...I did do some beach walking..thats a real workout for me..I keep sinking in the sand especially the dry stuff and going uphill...lol...sometimes JB gets tired of watching me struggle doing the 'moonwalk" and he comes and gets me...I grab his arm and he pulls me along...lol.
And while we are driving down the road, I still clench and release my butt muscles (sorry, TMI, I know) and my leg muscles...that's got to be doing something good..well, better than just sitting there...lol.

Where on the gulf coast? If you are nearby maybe we can meet for coffee or a meal???
I have been walking on at least one of my breaks every night this week. I have really bad shin splints right now. Read up a little bit on them. I didn't realize they could be caused by taking too long or too short a stride while you walk. Tonight when I walked, I walked much slower. It did create less pain. And my thighs are SORE. But they will get better.

Kudos on using your break time to get in some good cardio. They say even 10 mins at a time a couple times a day is good. My Knew way of thinking is we gotta use our muscles or lose them and that includes the heart muscle. GOODNESS sometimes I want to laugh (or vomit) when I hear myself ramble on about good health and exercise..........I was never like this before...of course I weight over 300 lbs for most of my adult life too so I guess this is a much better way of thinking....LOL
