Exercise - Let's get moving......Weds

Good Morning!
Happy St. Patricks Day!
I did not want to go for a walk this morning I decided to push myself...as I was going to put the leash on the dog and open the door the rain started. I could have said "oh well" but instead I got on the treadmill and did 40 mins indoors. This is a big deal for me because I've made a million excuses why I don't use the treadmill but not today and you know what; I actually kind of enjoyed it and it brought back good memories of all the morning I used it while I was working hard to lose my weight.
So my plan is to get back on it tonight and do another 30 mins before dinner and then I'll continue to use it if the weather doesn't allow me to walk outside. Later today I'll also be doing squats....trying to focus on the legs before my surgery next week.
I am going to commit to myself today that I reach 10,000 steps at least 5 days a week if not 6.......not 8,000 steps, not 9,000 but the full 10,000!

Hi Ruth,
well Monday I ended up doing 2 spin classes, one at 5pm the other at 6pm. Big workout.
Yesterday the weather is beautiful here in Michigan, I went for a walk around our country block which is 3.5 miles with my pregnant Step daughter. Then I worked with weights at home.
Today I was going to spin class...but it's just too nice outside. It's almost 65 out!!
I called my hubby and told him to get all our bikes out and work on them. I'm going for a bike ride today after work. I will ride and ride!!! Whhoooooooo!!
Keep working out Ruth, you are doing great.
I'll also work on walking lunges and squats with weights too. I'd much prefer outside when the weather is nice. It's suppose to snow here on Sunday. Yuck!

I just got back from a 45 minute walk with my co-worker...around our block here at work.... .6miles 1 way and we did 4 laps which gives me 2.4miles ^_^ I can't decide whether to up the speed, remain at 4 laps or stay at an 11min lap and up it to 5 or 6 laps. I know my co-worker would say do both LOL Her goal for me is to run part of the way...part of me says yes...the other half says :What?? and fall flat on your face? It's been like forever since I 'ran' anywhere!" I'll have to work up to that reeaalll slowwwww ;-)
Our weather is suppose to stay in the middle 70's all week so I'm hoping to get DH out riding the bicycles after I get home from work. If he's not up to that, I always have my Trudy (chihuahua) who absolutely loves going for a walk. The route I walk her is another 45 minutes and apprx 3 miles.
And that is my exercise program for the day! I really have to thank my co-worker...she is the one who got me out of the office walking and she rarely lets me off the hook with an excuse of any kind. Only excuse she accepts is RAIN LOL

It's a bit too windy here for me to ride my bike today :-( I'm hoping to get on it in the next couple of days because I won't be able to after next Weds. Enjoy your ride tonight...
