What's new with you all? - Wednesday

Good morning you all.  What a week it has been!  I almost did not start this because I may not be able to get back on for a day or two.  Will try though.

Been working real hard on a project the last week.  Looking at every account that has cancelled over the last two years to go to a competitor to try to find out what competitor they went to.  There are several of us doing it, but so far I have done six months myself of the last two years.

I decided I need to start doing some exercise, some how.  So, last night (Monday) I started walking on my two breaks.  Tonight I counted my steps.  I did over 1500 steps in 11 minutes.  My steps are close to 36", so that is probably about 3/4 of a mile.  I do this on my two 15 minute breaks.  My lunch break is for sleeping.  Put on some weight and I HAVE TO get it off.  I am disappointed in myself right now, but I will get back on track.

Not much else going on in my world, except BASEBALL begins soon.  Eddie has his first game on the 23rd.  I am taking off from the one job and half the night on the other.  I won't get paid for the first job, so it is costing me $72 to go watch him play.  Can't do that too often.  But I will try to go to almost all his tournaments.  That will also involve missing some work.  But, a small price to pay when I show up without letting him know and see the big grin on his face.

Later.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Good Morning George and fellow posters,

George, I missed you!  I was wondering where you were.  Nice job on the walking,  I am going to start walking as soon as the weather breaks here in Ohio.   Too cold for me now, I am cold all the time since I had surgery.  Yes!  Baseball is starting.  Here is something terrible.  I can't even root for the Cleveland Indians, they are so bad.  For the last few years I am a Yankee and braves fan..  Don't tell anyone

Well have to take my sister to the doctors today.  I was going to cook Cottage ham for dinner, it is our favorite.  They were priced outrageously.  So, we are having corned beef.  Going to put it in the crock pot and leave it in most of the day.

Nothing else new here.  Except my cousin who I have lost contact with, found me on face book.  I don't think I have seen her in over forty years.  Incredible.

Well everyone have a great St Patrick's day.  Don't eat too much corned beef.

Peace
Mary

I am on my way.  What a ride it has been.

Hey George, glad to see you!

Walking on your breaks is a great idea, and certainly better than not doing anything, which is what I've been doing..  bad Susan, bad

Life is pretty boring right now, which I guess is a good thing. Waiting for the thyroid ultra sound tomorrow, then another Dr appt for med refill, then to the salon to do one of Vickie's clients for her. Not a good way to spend my day off, but they're necessary things. Just working today and cooking corned beef in the crock pot.

That's it. All I have to report. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

good morning! it HAS been a week already, hasn't it!!!

today and friday, as well as 2 days next week, we are doing "open house testing" meaning we are going to be there from (today) 9-4 with tests starting on the hour -walk ins welcome! we still need waaaaaay too many ppl to test in this county--depressing and discouraging but we keep on pluggin......makes for very long days as well- even tho 9-4 doesn't sound like much it has a lot packed into it!!!!

i am so loving this weather we have had - actually worked in my shirtsleeves again yesterday- spent some time trying to organize materials to courier back to the census bureau as well as to get supplies ready for today's tests--my car is my office and the cleaning staff has taken the month off!!!

some grocery shopping yielded some beautiful little zucchinis and some red/yellow/ orange peppers on mark down at meijers-have no clue why--they were still gorgeous! so i added to our stir fry from the nite before--i love fresh veggies and actually enjoyed the cooking last few nites!

michael has worked in the yard and it looks so much nicer already however-being a rental for 10 years, it needs love- anyhow- he came in to find out that our satellite is out--did not reset when i went thru all of the steps so we have a service call- for thursday--poo----i got thru the nite by doing some pprwork but he pouted- today should be a long day for him!

i've had fun picking up lil things for the grands for Easter-need to get the box out soon- one part of the group is going away for the holiday....i do miss my grands....

living ( well it feels like it!!!!) and working in my car these last two months; i had to buy some new music! bought Celtic Woman's Journey of the Heart (or whatever- ) played it loud- very very pretty!!!!! a girl has to pamper herself, doncha know!

well- i set up my makeshift ironing board- a big towel on top of the washing machine-have to iron my lil white blouse so i can wear my green (tweedy )sweater today! i bought a corned beef but have no clue where our crock pot is--yes- we moved in december it is now march-ouch! and i won't be home to cook said corned beef so not sure what's up for tonite's supper...michael's motivation is not there -and i like my way of cooking better anyhow-

well- happy wednesday ..... hugs and prayers.............

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Everyone wearing your green?  I sure don't want to get pinched, because they would get a hand full of loose skin! LOL

Good mornin', ya'll.

Yep, St. Patrick's Day. My Great Grandfather came over from Ireland.  He had red hair and they called him 'Red Andy'.  BUT, he came from Northern Ireland.  My Gramma always said we had to wear orange, NOT green. That was hard to explain at school.  So we usually either wore both colors, or neither color.  Gramma was VERY proud of her heritage!

Today is my next to the last chemo treatment.  OOO-RA!!!  Supposed to be a lovely sunny day.  Another OOO-RA!

Our son, who is deployed, has finally gotten the last 2 boxes we sent.  The first box took 1 week.  These last 2 took 6 weeks!!  Go figure.  I sent another on Monday.  My DIL and I try to send a box weekly.

My last fill is great.  I am losing weight steadily.  Not a LOT, but something each week.  I know this weight is gonna be harder to get off than it was to put on.  But I am determined.

Our younger NC grandson is on restriction for a D on his report card.  His Mom told him "I warned you this would happen."  He said, 'You only warned me twice'.  So, no phone, no computer, no TV until he gets the grade up.  He can drive to and from school, but that is it!  Only because he is scared to death of the bus (he was bullied badly on a bus a few years ago), and he can't walk that far.

All of our trees are budding and there are robins in the yard.  Our cardinals are back in the trees beside the house. I LOVE Spring!!

Have a fantabulous day!

sunny morning here a little *****illy but so nice!!!! ground is drying up some and the pot holes OMG they are huge here in the roadway of the apartment complex!!! hope they fix them soon!!!

well the area on bandit that is/was bleeding COULD be a cyst. dr gave him a shot of pennecillin and predinsone and some pills and shaved his bleeding area and cleaned it up and sent us home. i have to use peroxide on it 2-3 times a day. cost $87!!!! now if i want this taken off and sent in for a biopsy it will cost me alot more money and i mean ALOT. i asked if we could wait and see if this doesn't clear up first and he said oh yes. soooo i will wait and see. dr said it didn't look to be cancerous so that is good. thankyou to those that posted regarding bandit!!! ;-)

was sleeping so good this morning and guess what....yuppers ricks mom calls wakes me up and i didn't make it to my phone fast enough and does she leave me a voice mail??? NO!!!! that pissed me off because she woke me up for no reason at all and she will hear about that for sure!!! she knew i was off today and could sleep in so why did she call??? sighs

Judy,

Very happy to hear that Bandit's boo boo seems to be just a cyst, I will send out lots of vibes that it heals up nicely with nothing to return from it . . .

Take care, Laureen

PS.  Potholes are everywhere, the interstate I ride to work and home is a mess, not to mention they are using the government dollars to fix roadways, which has it a mess already, commute lately has been fun. . .  oh well, looking and feeling more like spring than winter now. . .  soon we'll be hollering it's too damn hot. . . lol
