Hi Im new here, may I join you
Hi I was banded7/10/2009. Ive lost 43 lbs since surgery. Its really slow but alot of that is my fault. We are trying to find that sweet spot and its taking awhile. I gained a pound this month. I was too tight and did too many slider foods. I need to get back on track posting what I eat to be accountable. I just had to retire from hairdressing 35 years. Had my hip replaced and am facing back surgery. They keep upping the Loritab. It really hinders my exercising since I cant walk very far. I know its me trying to feel better by rewarding myself with food. I dont want to get in that habit again. Its been great reading thru your menu ideas. Theres not a support group around here so could really use the help....Thanks
Hi Margie,
Welcome from one 35 year hairdressing veteran to another! You're more than welcome to join us on our thread about what we are eating. We all find that writing it down and being accountable to each other really helps.
I've been at goal, or there abouts for almost 3 years. Standing behind a chair isn't the easiest job, especially when you're obese! Things are a whole lot better for me now. No more sore feet, aching back or knees, and I can work circles around some of the others at the salon.
Welcome aboard!

Hi Margie, welcome to the group. You are off to a good start with your weight loss. Instead of rewarding yourself with food, try non food rewards such as a massage, a good book you want to read, or something that you want. I have treated myself to massages, pedicures, and embroidery kits. Go back to the basics and follow your surgeons eating recommendations. Good luck. Mona
