OT---I need some cheese with my WHINE--back from the ENT
Well, I didn't say anything about needing to see an Ear, nose and throat specialist because it's kinda gross. I just got home, and man, what an interesting morning, to say the least.
Turns out that I have/had some sort of scar tissue inside my nose that's been causing some trouble. Before I knew what hit me, he sprayed some Lydicane into both sides and then scoped it! Yowwwww,! it really didn't hurt all that much, just kind of weird, but then when he saw this "thing" he got all excited!. Packed the right side of my nose with Lydicane soaked cotton and made me wait for my nose to numb. While that was going on, he examined my ears and neck. Guess what? Thyroid ultra sound has been scheduled for Thursday a.m.
Then, he proceeded to take out said scar tissue and cauterize the inside of my nose, and sent that off for biopsy. I'm not a happy girl.
He said he was being overly cautious about the soft lump in my thyroid and it's probably nothing. So, now I play the waiting game with the rest of the gang. AGHHHHHHH
