....I did have a good one......it is good to be growing old.[ 69 now]..considering the alternative......but I keep fighting it and am getting ready to go to work out this morning. I spent my birthday doing almost exactly what I wanted.....did not go into the office.[but ended up doing some business anyway]...took a nap.....finally agreed to go out to dinner......but only wanted to go to Panera bread and have a bowl of yummy tomato soup and a tomato and mozarella panini sandwich.....my favorite....

I have been super busy in real estate lately and that is good, but it has kept me away from all of you....even just checking on you.

My daughter had her annual Oscar party and my two girlfriends and I always dress up and make a grand entrance. [They call us "The Divas"] This year we were playing a hooker from the movie NINE [last year we were Nuns from Doubt] and this year dressed up in [ dresses we had been Mothers of the Bride in hiked up and showing a garter] many jewels and horrible wigs, high black boots, gloves, tamborines...very very tacky....... and we sang and danced along to "Be Italian"......they loved it with all our mistakes....and when Kathleen  played the video back before we all went home...we all belly laughed so hard we got headaches/cried....What a great thing that is to do to make you feel so good!

She also had a formal dinner that was divine. It is always a surprise but very very gourmet and delicious. She also did not dissapoint again this year.

Soooo I was all partied out for my Birthday and told everyone that I just wanted to stay home and do nothing ALL day....but Kathleen insisted that I come over for cake and ice cream and presents on the way home from Panera.

Thanks again for all your sweet thoughts and wishes.....You all are the greatest friends....I really appreciate you.....I  know I use you for all my tough times.....but I really and love you.appreciate
you.

Love, Marti

Wow Marti, Sounds like a delightful time was had, both at the Oscar Party and your Birthday!  Take care, Laureen

It sure sounds like you enjoyed your day! I am glad that you had so much fun!
