Exercise - Let's get moving......Weds

Yipee...it's been a week since I challenged myself to get moving and make my exercise a priority in my life and so far so good (cardio walking 5-6 days a week is my goal).

I struggled with it today...I woke up and just didn't feel like doing it.....PLUS Matthew has an appointment this morning so he needed to get up earlier than normal (earlier than normal for him which is still late for me but that's a story for another time)....so I told myself I'll get breakfast ready early for him and I'll do my walk tomorrow.....well when he wouldn't get up I changed my mind and decided to put myself first and not cheat myself out of this important thing so I went for my walk (Buddy went with me).  I'm SO HAPPY that I got out there and did.  I'm also happy that I put myself first because I don't usually do that. I walk for my health and my health has to be MY priority because nobody else can impact that except for me.   FYI - when I got back 40 mins later he was still asleep.

It was such perfect walking weather this morning, if it is like this tonight I may go for a bike ride too.

Sooooo how about you.......is exercise a priority in your life?

Way to go Ruth! It's just a bit after 6am here in Washington. I'm still in my robe. Waiting for a phone call to see where I'll be subbing today. I plan to take my workout clothes and stop at the gym on the way home. If I don't do it before I come home I know myself well. . . I won't get back out. I can always come up with an excuse!

Doesn't it feel great to have already done something good for yourself? We'll be out of town over the weekend so I want to get 4 sessions in before Friday. That way I can get some walks in with the grandbabies who are just 2. Won't be aerobic in any sense of the word but will be great fun. I love seeing the world through the eyes of children. Have a great rest of your day.

Good Morning....I am hoping the rain stops so I can get out and walk....if not I guess I will have to walk inside...I miss the sunshine....we have had cloudy days all week!!

I did 30 mins of quality bike, book and me time..... I crank up the resistance on the recumbent bike, grab a good book and a bottle of water, tune in a good rock and roll oldies station and get my groove on!

It's all out cardio water aerobics for me today. I will get in the pool 30 minutes before class and do my walking lunges, working out my arms with weights and some jogging in the pool.
Meg does a kick butt class so I will have a good 45 minutes workout with her.

Good for you putting your exercise and YOU first. You made yourself a priority...and you are worth it.

I will miss my walk today, it's raining outside. I will walk around inside the hospital today. Maybe I'll get really energetic and walk up 8 flights too!
