Tuning up for Tuesday- What's going on?
Good Morning!!!!
Guess what?? I am a mom to a 4 yr old basset hound. His name is Shorty. He is 4 yrs old. My cats are going nuts!!!!!
I am off today and tomorrow and was off yesterday. I got this stupid idea to get a dog. It will be good though it will get me walking a lot. Already today I have walked him twice.
Carl is out fixing the fence cause I am afraid he will find the hole and get out.
I went to the cancer doctor yester and all is good. I just have to get a bleed test to see where one level is. Then a scan in September.
It looks like rain so Im doing laundry today.

good idea on getting that fence fixed...if this dog scents a rabbit or other animal he will go chasing it....he is a hunter....;-) have fun with him....gonna check out the photo of him now.
WOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! GOOD NEWS ON THE CANCER BEING GONE!!!!!!!!!! hope the blood test comes back good also!!!

Mary - to cover up the stinky fish smell bake an apple with lots of cinnamon on top of it. Works wonders!
Nothing too new here. Took my baby (dog) for a haircut today...he looks so cute!!
It was such a nice morning...sunny but not too strong...now the sun is hiding behind the clouds....we expect rain this afternoon. well what do you know as I'm typing this the sun just popped out again...LOL
Well back to cooking....it's coming to lunch time and I have pasta on the stove.
Hope everyone is having a terrific Tuesday.

Hi Ruth,
Thanks for the suggestion about the apple and cinnamon. Sounds good to me, just like an apple pie.
I don't think I will be making salmon patties again. I really didn't like them. lol
We had some sun for the last few days, I am jealous that you live in Florida. I hate the winters up here. My husband and I said when he retires, we are going to South Carolina or Florida. I can't wait!

I mix 1 can of tuna and 1 can of salmon (the small can same size as the tuna) and then make the patties.....otherwise I find it too strong if it's all salmon....
I lived most of my life in NY and spent almost 5 years in Omaha NE so I know about winter...that's why I finally had enough and decided to go south...lol

Hi Mary Margaret and all my OFF friends,
I got a call on Sunday from my foster daughter in RI. She is 24 now. I had her from 11 to 13 years old. She considers me the best foster parent she had in her long list of foster parents. She is going to have a baby in October. Her Mom was in and out of prison and rehab for heroin addiction over the years. I'm very happy when any baby is coming in to the world. BUT my foster daughter has been in rehab too. Her Mom was a big influence on her and not a good influence. She isn't married to her boyfriend either, although they are living together. So I will just dish out the love and hope everything turns out all right. At least she knows where her Mom screwed up in raising her so hopefully she won't want to repeat that.
We are going to talk to our son about visiting him and our grandkids at Easter. He works for a boatworks so the summer season is too busy for us to come then. He just had dental work done. He still had all four of his wisdom teeth and had them pulled. My son is 34. They also pulled two other teeth that they had previously tried to save but they were cracked. With four kids he just hasn't had the money to take care of his teeth so I'm glad he got it done. He said he was in pain all the time from his teeth.
This weekend is my niece/God daughter's wedding. I'm so excited. The wedding is at 6:00 p.m.. Hubby got us tickets to some hoyty toyty gourmet breakfast on Sat. a.m. At least it supports the boys scouts in the town where he works.
I think we all have the "don't want to work" blues today. Nothing much going on with me.
