Okay, so it is Monday --- What's new?

Good morning all!  It stopped raining before I came to work. Now if it will only hold off until I get home to start off again.

Had a pretty good weekend.  A friend came over and helped Mary finish painting the living room.  We moved the wall unit pieces from the front room to the dining room.  Moved the big table to the dining room.  Sunday Mary and I moved some of the cabinets.  She was not happy because I sort of sent the guy home on Saturday, but I did not want to abuse a friendship.  Plus I was not fully aware of what Mary had agreed with him to do and for how long.  So I screwed up.  I'm a man.

My friend/deacon is doing better.  The doctors can't explain it.  Thursday they had about given up hope, putting him in grave condition.  The pastor sent out an "everybody pray" email.  Friday morning Rod's wife went to work while the pastor sat with him.  Every time anyone touched Rod, even though he was "out", his body flinched like he was in pain.  So the pastor put his hand over the body and explained to the Lord that he knows laying of hands would help, but Rod can't take that pain.  Please work through me.  At that point Rod reached out for the pastor's hand and sat up in bed and started talking.  The pastor called his wife at work and said "I have someone here who wants to talk with you."  The doctors said they don't know what we did, but obviously it woked better than what they did.  They now have him on another medication to combat the rejection of the bone marrow transplant.  It looks like he will be in the hospital for two more weeks, but what a better alternative than he had.

Sorry I went on so long.  later.

Hi George and all those yet to drop in.

I am happy that your friend seems to be doing better.  We should never underestimate the power of prayer.  I hope he will do  well.

Sounds like you and Mary had a lot of work to do. Hope both of you aren's sore today.

I was under the weather yesterday.  Felt like I was coming down with a cold.   Sniffles, headache and so cold, no matter what I did , I couldn't warm up.  Finally had to go lay down under all my blankets and dozed off to sleep for an hour.  Once I woke up.  I felt better. Weird.

Today.  I think I am going to tackle  a chore that I haven't done for awhile.  There are so many here, I could choose anything..lol,  If I don't do them, no one else will.

Son and husband off to work at 5 and daughter sleeping.  I love my quiet mornings.  Sipping coffee and reading the boards.  It has become my habit.

Well...........

Everyone have a great Monday.  Don't do anything I wouldn't...  That kinda leaves it wide open.

Peace
Mary

I am on my way.  What a ride it has been.

Morning George,Mary...

I'm off to school.  I have a new student.  Cute young lady in 7th grade.  Profoundly deaf, uses a sign language interpreter (thats when she is not with me, as I do sign).  Difficult case tho...her old school did not prepare her for middle school so she is way way behind.
Well...keeps me busy and it does ensure some job security.  I must say tho..that I love my job...I love the kids.  I think it keeps me healthy and YOUNG!!!

Hugs and prayers to all who need them.
Have a great day...hopefully its warming up here a bit today...we could actually see temps in the 50's!!!!  YEAH...maybe Spring is ahead!

Is your new student coming from an elementary school or a school for the Deaf, Marcy?  I used to be a sign language interpreter for over 20 years and many of them were spent in the public schools at all levels--elementary, middle and high school.  Best wishes to you as you work with your new student!

Morning Cassie...came from a public school.  Not a very good one...they had an interpreter, I'm not sure if they provided the use of a teacher for the deaf.  Not a very good home situation either.
I think this student has a learning disabiltiy on top of the deafness.  Sweet kid...just needs lots of help.

If it ended, wouldn't it mean you were unemployed?

okay so it IS monday! that means that at 6 pm we can watch trains on RFD TV--we love to watch the old footage...i know- get a life!

i'm up, had some breakfast and heading to the shower- today is a long work day- with 5 tests set up at an "open house" situation...then a one hour conference call at 4 pm....team lost two folks( now we are 3) saturday so we are winding down- i could be out of work as early as this  saturday....we'll see...

yesterday; mom and i found out from an aunt that my grampa's widow passed away...pneumonia at 84-she's at peace....it was upsetting tho that the step brother didn't call mom- oh well- some people are just asses....forgive me....the news did give my brother and i some opportunity for some good talk about our grampa...i really wish i had known him like brother steve did....and i treasure good moments with steve cuz we have our share of disagreements!

wonderful sunshine yesterday-worked outside a bit....moving in december; we kinda dumped some stuff off the truck- coolers, extra bird stands etc- so i at least moved and straightened them.....

well- hugs and prayers.....

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Lap Band on 05/21/07 with
Margo,
Last year we made a move from Dish Network to Comcast Cable.  RFDTV is something we lost in the move.  Boy, does hubby miss that!  Dish Network never offered us the deals they offered to new customers, never offered to upgrade our equipment and every time there was a cloud over the house we would lose the signal.  So having Comcast was a good move (we got DVR and no more weather blackouts) except for losing RFDTV.  The trains were especially enjoyed by my husband.
Hugs,
Bev
