Just a quick good morning to y'all.  Had a great day yesterday.  Got my season tickets for the Rangers in the mail, then it was the first game of the exhibition season for them besides.

Rangers pitching looked good, but I know it is just the first game of spring training.

Took Mary out to eat at Red Lobster yesterday.  Went to granddaughter's spring program after that.  Only worked 4 hours.

About time to go home and watch a little tv before sleeping.

Later.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Friday, yeah!!!!! I am off this weekend for a change and I am going to do some serious yard work and get rid of some of this stress that is eating me up. Went into the discount name brand store after work yesterday and found a pair of size 2 docker slacks for $9. They are snug but hey, I pulled them right up over my saggy butt, lol. I still need to lose a few more lbs before I will feel comfortable wearing them in public. Not used to snug fitting clothes.

Hi Irish,

I take trazdone -- 150 mg.  and have trouble sleeping on it too.  What gives?  I either wake up way too early or wake up during the night every hour looking at the clock.

We need to talk to our docs.  Something is wrong.

Peace
Mary

I am on my way.  What a ride it has been.

Mary, this is kind of a scary thought but sometimes our bodies get used to the meds and they stop working for us.  :(  Then it's time to either increase the dose or switch.  But I agree...time to talk to the docs.

HI everyone, Thanks for getting us started Irish,

Today I am going with my daughter to my in- laws house.  They are both in bad shape.  My father in law can't walk because he has a bad hip and needs a replacment.  It is bone on bone.   He is really an active guy and all of this is driving him crazy.  My mother in law needs a knee replacement and she can barely walk.  They asked my daughter to come and clean up their house.  Which is immaculate so I don't think it will take her too long,
We probably will be there all day.

I am glad it is Friday though.  My husband will be on call for sat and Sunday for work.  I hate that, can't make any real plans because of it.

I have not delivered Avon books for two campaigns because of the weather.  If he is home he can drive and help me.  My customers probably think I quit.

Nothing much new today.  So I will bid thee farewell.....................

Peace
Mary

Good morning, ya'll.

Family photos!  I am the family 'keeper of the genealogy'.  For YEARS  I have been begging relatives to label pictures.  And I don't mean Aunt Mary and Uncle Bill.  It may sound redundant, but last names and other identifiers are so important for future generations!! We got both my Gramma's to tell us names so we could label pics before they passed.  Same with my parents.

Mary, Mary, I am praying that your husband's medical problems will be taken care of soon. It must be very stressful, especially when there is nothing you can do to nudge the healing process along!

My DIL brought us a BUNCH of apples yesterday and I am going to make applesauce today.  I LOVE homemade applesauce.  Yum.

The bug guy comes today.  He walks around inside, then outside, charges $108 and leaves.  Actually, then he goes to our son's house and repeats the process.  But, if you ever plan on selling your house down here, you better have a record of annual termite inspections!

Got our taxes back from the CPA yesterday.  The stocks and such that we got from Mom's estate had no effect on our taxes.  HOORAY!! I was so afraid I was gonna have a HUGE tax bill. Now we just have to find out from my Sissy's CPA what Mom is gonna owe.  When Dad was alive he had all their withholdings taken from HIS retirement check.  So for the year he passed Mom had a $1200 tax bill.  She found that out in April of 2009, and passed away the first part of June. So she never got around to having anything taken out of her checks before she passed. I imagine her tax bill will be about $1200 again.  Plus we have to pay the CPA.  We left Mom's checking account open in Texas to pay these things and to have her ashes buried beside Daddy this summer. My Sis and I are on the account too of course.  When these things are paid we can split the balance and close out the account!

Temps are headed UP here.  So glad!

Everyone have a fantabulous day.

Good morning Cassie and OFF family,
I'm at work ready to start in a few minutes. The sun is shining and I'm fighting that cold that every one seems to have.

I did spin class after work last night. Today I'm resting but will take a walk around the hospital at lunchtime.

Sending hugs and prayers to all in need.

Good morning Cassie and OFF friends,

I haven't posted that much lately, so I thought I'd jump in here this morning.

Mary -- So sorry to hear about your DH's difficulties with surgery.  Hope he starts feeling better soon.  Can't imagine what he must be thinking/feeling right now.  Hope his spirits remain high and hopeful.

I went to the best support group meeting last night.  A bariactric surgeon spoke about what happens after the pixie dust disappears.  Mainly, he talked about the importance of planning your meals and exercise, along with writing your goals down on paper to help you stay on target/task.  I think it's time I start journaling my food intake via Internet or in a notebook.  I may jump on Susan's ship next week and start participating in that thread.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.  Wishing each of you peace, good health, and lots of happiness.

Blessings,

Debbie

Debbie. . .

Sparkpeople.com, Fitday.com, Dailyplate (I've never gone on that last one) are all good sites, for what you are speaking of doing, you can participate on any level you want, I am now using Sparkpeople.com, you can track you exercise, food and journal, as well as participate in other ways, there is a recipe calculator too, so if you have a recipe you make and don't know the breakdown of it, you can input your ingredients and it will give you the data on how much fat, protein, carbs, etc. are in a portion. . .  and what Dr. B said, while I was not there, but based on the gist of your post here, is all what will keep us on track, I do much better when I am doing all parts of what is necessary to maintain accountability, so even though I don't always post on Susan's thread, I am pretty good about keeping a food log on Sparkpeople, weekends I don't always get there, but then on Monday's I will go back and log what I had.  It keeps me honest and lets me know what and where I need to make changes, ie, I had a bad food day the other day and while it was not the 3000 plus calorie day of old, it was over my daily limit, so yesterday I made sure I got back on plan. . .

Hope you have a wonderful weekend and if you go to the Barix support group tomorrow, enjoy, I won't be able to attend, have to bring my car to Toyota in for an oil change and recall fixes. . .

Take care, Laureen
