I'm up -- got up at 5:30.....have physical therapy at 8:30, so have to be ready by 8:15......stripped the bed, and have a load of other clothes in the washer.  Sis is coming today to clean and take me grocery shopping.   I'm so glad I can get into the garage (down 2 steps) to do my laundry.....going down is easy, coming back up is a little "touchy".....yes, I am VERY CAREFUL.

Had support group here at my home last nite -- there were only 8 of us and it was a nice comfortable group....we have one really big guy, and I wasn't sure he was going to get out of one of my chairs, but he did and refused help.   He's already lost over a 100 lbs .....both of his hips are bone on bone, but they won't operate until he loses more weight.....he's only in his twenties.  He's doing the right thing!

Need to grab some breakfast now, so have a great day wherever you are......signs of spring here -- it was near 40 yesterday.....hurrah!

Good morning Margo and everyone......

I woke up at 4:00 and couldn't sleep anymore. This nasty sinus and cold crap is getting me down...this is day 11...now I think I have a UTI on top of it. Time to call the doctor....UGH!!  Still no voice....barely a whisper.

Nic (grandson) has been asked to be a counselor at three of the Cancer Camps he goes too. He is so excited!! What a great summer he will have. He is feeling good right now.We are blessed.

Kyleigh (granddaughter) is doing well at her new residence. She has a little more freedom and is enjoying the company of the other girls and the staff. She is missing family and friends....that is a good sign. For a long time she didn't want to be around anyone.

Guess that is all I have to report so far today. I will check in again later.

Prayers to those in need. Share a smile with a stranger today.

Much love and many hugs to all.....connie d

I have the save crap that Connie has i guess it is day 10 for me Connie with no voice either. I think my husband is rather enjoying it . lol  I am keeping the sinus halfway at bay with sudafed. but even it isnt curing it. the best help i get for the longest time is simple sal****er rinses. burns but helps clear everything out.dont feel bad enough to stay home from work but still hard to do my job of caring for elderly patients when they cant hear anything less than a yell. lol
we have been having spring like weather here , getting up into the 50s with sun ...today it is cloudy tho but the rest of the week is suppose to be sunny and 60s. yeah i am more than ready for Spring....i have been cleaning out flower beds getting them all ready for the year. and then Joe has been burning all of the leaves and stuff i clean out. we have maybe 1/4 of them done. still have lots more to do. ..
well guess i will get off here have to go in to work on my day off for a stupid inservice. i hate that ....

Morning Sunshine!

Lots of folks trickle in here through out the day, but I'm wondering what's happened to our What Are You Eating Crew???  Our boat won't be going too far with only a few rowing. Everyone's welcome, so come onboard!

I was so concerned about going out with my friend for lunch yesterday. Business has been so slow that I really didn't have the money, but I didn't want to tell her that. Turned out she's on Weigh****chers and has been really trying to stay on track, so she suggested we go for a nice walk instead. Whew!  No money and exercise too!  Then, we were bad.....we went to the library for the knitting group, and while making a pit stop before going in, decided we'd rather go shop at the local yarn shop and have a Buck's instead. Super nice day with a nice lady whose becoming a good friend. I need that. I chit chat all day long with clients, but they're not friends. This is nice.

Okay, not much else happening. Guess I'll go get the boat sailing on the other thread. Hope everyone has a dandy day!

I'm getting ready to take Michael to the hospital.  He goes in a day early for his RNY tomorrow.  Then I'll go to work and catch up with him again tonight.  Having a couple of people let the dog out during the day, so I have to finish arranging that.

I'm so excited about Michael joining me on this journey and, hopefully, getting healthier as the weight drops off!   I"m still doing good, this week, down another 3 pounds.  Upping protein and adding exercise has helped.

Last night we were out and about with friends and I definitely noticed a difference.  I don't get out of breath so easily.

Mary,

Congrats on breathing easier and all the other good stuff that is probably happening that you are not even realizing. . .

I wish your Michael a safe and good journey to the Loser's Bench, there are a few couples in my home support group and they have done quite well, though they also need outsiders to help them on this journey.

Anyway, you have a nice day!

Laureen

Thanks, Laureen.  You know it took me 45 years to find him, and I want only the best for him.  He is a sweet guy and has struggled so...     We are fully aware we can and will support each other and we are also close to our support groups, for the outside help!  Thanks for your well wishes.  He will be on his way tomorrow!!!  Yay.

You enjoy your day, Laureen.

I will pray for Michael's fast recovery.  Is he your husband?

Sending you the WLS fairy to sprinkle her lucky fairy dust on Michael and you.  Glad to hear you're breathing better.

Crossin my legs at the knees was a huge milestone for me, not to mention giving up the C-pap.

Thanks so much!  Yes, he is my husband, soulmate, sweetheart!  We "hooked up" late in life - in our 40s.  Have been together for 12 years, married for 10.

I've already given up the c-pap and he would love to do that, too!  Thanks for your positive thoughts.
