Morning Crewbies!

Gotta run and get ready for work, so this will be a quickie. I'll probably have to do a lot of editing when I get home, but here's what's coming off the top of my head. Lots of leftover in the fridge, so it will be a miss mash of this and that.

latte

crustless calzone w/ 1 slice orowheat extra fiber toast

chicken thigh and beets

chili, 6 saltine crackers

2 lattes, 2 protein coffees, 1 cup caramel corn. I know!  It was good too, too damn good. Curses to the person who brought it to the salon!

See you at the back end of the day!

Hope you  are enjoying time with the big grands, sounds like fun!    My chili wasn't so great. I had bought the "chili" grind of ground beef and it was tough and full of gristle. Yuck!  What was good was the cup of caramel corn I ate at the salon. I'm bad.

Eating "normal" is not going very normally at all. Yesterday I couldn't get enough to eat, I was so hungry! Today, I can't keep anything down. I guess it will be touch and go like this for a while, as my stomach re-adjusts to the new conditions.

You may have over done it yesterday. What kind of progression are you supposed to follow after the soft foods phase?

Take care!

Yes, I did overdo it on Friday - without exceding my calorie limits, but I had been eating at about 60-70% before. In a way I was glad my stomach purged itself on Saturday, I felt like there was a failsafe valve in there somewhere!
The only directions I have for this phase is to introduce new foods slowly to my meals starting with proteins, avoid simple carbs and keep under 1200 calories per day.

Sounds like a good, basic plan for this phase, but gee.....a little more direction would have been nice, huh?  It's hard now for you to know how your stomach will react to different foods, so all you can really do is go by trial and error. Unfortunatly, the error part can be pretty uncomfortable. But, that has it's positive side too, as you said.

I think most of us were put on a 3 meal a day plus a snack routine, which holds pretty well. Also, more dense foods, mostly the proteins, need to be chewed really, really well, especially now, and remembering to eat slowly may help too. There's just so much to think about at your leg of the journey!

If there's anything any of us can help you with, just let us know. We're sure to chime in!   LOL

Yeah, well....my ship has sailed.

Tall Pike in a grande cup... 1/2 and 1/2

2 slices ham w/2 slices swiss cheese for breakfast

I've been grazing on the green chile stew I'm making so make that about 4 or 5 pieces of meat that was supposed to go in it.

cup of milk

That's it so far... I'm stuffed.. and supposed to go out to dinner.

Uh, Susan... why don't you play Farmville with us when you are having those 'off' moments at work... sure are a lot of us on there!!
