Hi Susan and everyone!

I haven't been eating right this week but lost four pounds.  That is good news and bad news..lol

Today I am having ( I think)

coffee

B- Protein drink
L- Chili or a ham and cheese roll up
S- string cheese
D-  Taco meat and vegies.  No taco shell..  THE BEST PART OF A TACO!

This is the first day I have been home taking care of my sister.  I have so many things to do here.

Plus we have a bad snow storm, yesterday morning, last night and tomorrow I hear.

Stay warm everyone

Peace
Mary

Kind of late here, almost time for dinner but let me recap the day if I can:

Pre-B - chocolate cappuccino, 1/2 glass juice

B - 1 soft cheese wedge, 1 roan (hard toast)

Snack - 1 soft cheese wedge, the other 1/2 glass huice

Lunch - mushroom soup, 1 roan, 1 soft cheese wedge

Snack #1 - 10 potato chips  (should have eaten more at lunch!)
Snack #2 - protein drink

Dinner - Tuna salad, maybe some hard toast.

I'm going back to having protein drinks for snacks I think. I can nurse a protein drink all day (I don't really like them) and they will keep me away from carbs like juice and grrrrr chips!

For the first time EVER I had turkey bacon. It was very tasty. Regular bacon has had no appeal - too greasy. A rather nice change other than my same old same old menu.

Time to up the protein because my nails are beginning to bubble. Always a sure sign of too little protein. Normally they are super tough. Easier to type without long nails though.

Is your cold going away?

Hi Honey,

My cold is on it's way out, thank goodness!  I'm getting really tired of the whold thing. Good riddance!

Glad you like the turkey bacon. I bought turkey bacon chips (like Baco-s) the other day to use in my South Beach Diet Veggie Cups, and they were great. When I buy bacon for breakfast, it's usually the pre-cooked thin stuff. We like ours very crispy, and this is no fuss, 10 seconds in the microwave, and hardly any fat on it at all. I think it's 50 cals for 2 slices.

Yeah.....get that protein up Dearie!
