A proud Momma. . .
No need for anyone to respond. . .
Can you feel the earth moving. . . because it's me. . . jumping up and down with absolute joy
for my youngest daughter, Angela, who sat for her boards yesterday and this morning called to say she is now an RN! Lots of hard work, tears and fears overcome and now she will spend her life living a dream she has had for years. . . I cannot take any credit, but I certainly did what all mothers do, encouraged her to go for it!
She got a job at Altamonte Hospital in the Orlando area, near to where she lives. . . I will be going to Florida next month to celebrate my granddaughter's 12th birthday and to celebrate her accomplishment! I am truly blessed to be watching my children succeed in life!

As for me, I have been undergoing a bit of depression and not really wanting to share with you all, but I peek in to see what is going on and you are all in my thoughts and prayers, this bit of news, as well as my trip to come, is lifting my spirits some, the rest will come in the Spring. . .

Hi Laureen, passing boards is a big deal. I took my boards back in 1983. It was hard. Nursing school is mentally tough and I went through all that when I was in school. It is so awesome that you were there to listen to your daughters fears and worries. It made her schooling easier to get through. I wish your daughter success in her career. I have loved being a nurse. You are never bored and you can get a job in any town. Mona

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing the blues.....I, too have had some bad days but I contribute it to the danged long cold snowy winter. Hope your spirits will be lifted with your trip to Florida to see your family.

How cool for your daughter. I always wanted to be a nurse too, but an accounting job with GM fell into my lap, and I was good at it, so I couldn't see making the career change. I would have been a good nurse tho. I love people and love helping. I'm sure this is something she's wanted for a while and has now succeeded. Good for her.

Congratulations to your daughter. My daughter became an RN 2 years ago. She loves it as I am sure your daughter will too! Thank God for our nurses, they are the backbone of our healthcare.
My blues will go away in a few weeks. My youngest is coming home from Afghanistan around March 22. Thank God for our soldiers too, the backbone of our country.
