WHAT'S NEW, WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 17TH

Good Morning, All:

I'm up early to start my meds. I've been taking Levoxyl for years and just recently read that it is supposed to be taken alone. After one hour, I can take my other meds -- except for iron and/or calcium. Those have to be taken four hours after the Levoxyl. I don't take my iron and calcium together -- so anyway, it seems as if I have to start my meds in the middle of the night to get them all in.

Hi Cindy and thanks for getting us started.  Hello to all who come after me.

Today I have a busy day.  I have to go see my surgeon who is over an hour away.  Bummer.

I have to get my car plates renewed.  Bummer

Nothing else new except it is cold here and they are calling for about 2 more inches of snow. 
I am so sick of snow and the cold weather.  We still have a long way to go.

Just a fly by to say hi to everyone.

Geez, where is everyone this morning?  Seems the forum is getting less and less activity.  I have lurked the past week and not posted much myself.

I'm reading a good book called Heart-Shaped Box, it's about a man who purchases a ghost from the Internet.  So far, so good.  I'm about 100 pages into it now.

I've been so not motivated to practice my piano lesson and I really need to get with the program and get prepared for my upcoming lesson this Friday.  I guess I had a 3-week break, but it's time to get back to studying music again - lol

Other than that, not too much happening.  We have a ton of snow still.  It seems like it's going to take forever for this stuff to melt.  Still have at least 2 plus feet on our deck.

Good morning Cindy and OFF family,

Work remains busy, makes the day go by fast for sure. Worked out at the gym last night.

Day 3 of detoxing from sugar and bad carbs. All is well there and I'm sipping on my Atkins shake mixed with coffee right now. Just like hot chocolate.

Our hound-dog Angel who is 8 is very sick. We are letting her go to heaven today. She can't run and chase the squirrels and has lost a lot of weight. The 3 other dogs know Angel is sick, they stay by her and groom her. I think they are saying good bye to her in doggie language.
Such a good baby she was. My hubby is taking care of Angel today so she will be gone when I get home today...and then life goes on with sadness in my heart today.

I want to reach for my comfort food but I won't. I'll continue on and I have to continue my day like I'm not sad for my volunteers. I will probably close my door and cry shortly. I need to do that for me.
Hubby said no more dogs but nope, I love dogs, my fur-babies. I will end up adopting more in the future. I guess I'm like an "Ellie May Clampett"...just love babies and dogs. I have a lot of love in my heart and I know dogs will always be in my life.

I'm so sorry about Angel.  I felt sadness when you mentioned the other dogs grooming her as if saying their good-bye.  Animals have very special instincts.  Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers today.

I know Angel will meet us at the Rainbow's Edge. I'm just glad she is at peace.
Now I will have to give lots of attention to the other 3, they will grieve in their own doggie way. Angel was the alpha dog bu****ched over her crew like a momma. Ellie the sheltie will take her place as she rounds up Sophie and Jake who are from the same litter, they are half chihuahua  and peekapoo. All 3 try to sit on my lap at the same time.

Thanks for the prayers and good thoughts, I am feeling better now!

Debbiejean..I'm so sorry about your "Angel".  I've been in your shoes with a cat once.  Its a very hard thing to do..but, she will not be suffering anymore.  Thats the good thing.

 The pain has subsided, dizziness is a little better and I was even able to eat some oatmeal last night. 
 Susan, I would love to post on the "what are you eating" but, it would turn your hair white.  Mainly cause I'm not eating much at all.  Today I am trying (right Now( to drink a protein shake.  My body is shaky which tells me I need protein, but my tummy is protesting quite loudly.

   I'm always so sorry to hear about the problems we all face, wish we all lived closer.  It seems so hard to send your well wishes over the internet, but I guess its the best we can do.

   Well, I'm going to sit here and sip and then go take a nice long shower and see if I can get warm.

I tried cheese yesterday...no problem.  I'll try to do an arnold thin today with melted cheese maybe. 
 Its one step at a time..and the med for the nausea helps some.']
