To Nut or not to Nut
Since giving up processed carbs, I'ave been looking for a crunchy alternative.
The problem is that nuts contain loads of fat, so I have been weighing 1 oz. of South Beach Nut Mix (Almonds, cashews , macadamias) packing each serving in snack-size ziplock bags and eating no more than two servings per day. Still at 170 per serving, they add up to a lot of calories.
What to do
Any suggestions?

I do walnuts. Always keep a bag here at work.
I do have to watch my intake of nuts but they are good for us.
For crunch...and I do need crunch I reach for pickles but they can retain water weight. I also reach for celery and baby carrots.
Once in a great while I will eat pork rinds...not often and I use them for a treat only.
But my fav is still pickles.
And when I need to "chew" it's beef jerky hands down!
