Morning Crewbies!

Another day on my own and I'm finding I'm doing really well as far as sticking to my plans. I realize that when Gary goes and gets a snack, I feel I need one too. Hmmm. Sure is something to be aware of when he comes home. Yesterday I baked 6 chicken thighs and have those in the fridge. I do much better with thighs, even though they have more fat, they don't seem to get stuck, so I can actually get a meal out of one.

Here's my day. Subject to change, of course.

latte
protein coffee

bkfst burrito

cottage cheese & pear

chicken thigh

s--going to the movies with DS & DIL,  popcorn. Yes, definitely popcorn

d- oyster stew. yep. another thing gary doesn't like.

I've decided that having pre measured snacks are the only way I'm going to make it.  Usually I guess at what the portion size is and of course I'm generous... lol

I feel so much better since working with the nutritionist.  A lot of little things came to  light and that helps.

apple w 3 T peanut butter

Oatmeal w/ cranraisins

cheese & crackers

chili w/cheese

protein bar

chicken veggie

cheese & crackers

Hi Millie,

I tell my support group people to measure their food portions at least once a week. After a while we think we know what a 1/4 cup (or whatever) looks like.By occasionally measuring and reminding ourselves just how big a serving is, it really helps to reinforce it.

Hi Susan and everyone!

Wow I did great last night.  Only had a atkins bar for my snack.  Which is good.  At least it has protein in it.

I bought some chicken breats at Aldi's the other day.  They are garlic and herb and nothing on the outside.  It was really good;  I could only eat half of one though.  Had a tablespoon of cottage cheese with it.

B- protein drink
S- string cheese
L-  Going to be at inlaws so I don't know
S- not sure
D- maybe a half of chicken breast I left from last night
S-  Maybe a atkins bar;

Lost two pounds this morning - Yea for me.  Two more pounds and I will be in the 160's  .  I have come a long way.  I feel good

I am still doing fairly well.  Today, I slept in since I was up most of the night..weather watching while Derek was working at the club.  He ended his 8-3 sam shift, got home at 3:45 am, change dinto warm outsode work clothes and left, with poor old JB who was sleeping, and off they went into the storm to snowplow and to salt and shovel. And I had little difficulty going to bed then...my bad!..and slept late.  And now, here I am, waiting for them to come home at 7pm.  I have a huge pot of beef, vegetable and barley soup nice and hot on the stove for them and homemade biscuits.

I got caught up with phone calls and such since I had the house to myself and I am, of course, watching the Winter Olympics!  LilyRose has absconded with my wool again..but it was easily tracked since it unravelled as she travelled. Katie just sits there trying to look innocent but I know better.

I made protein balls yesterday so they sit in the fridge for when my head hunger starts.

This is today's menu:

B   hot chocolate protein drink

S   2 protein balls

L   cheddar cheese, crackers & a banana

S   2 protein balls & a small yogurt

D  bowl of homemade soup

S   hard boiled eggs mashed w/ FF mayo and chopped onion

*3 litres of water and all my supplements

I am still doing tube feedings but I am eating some potato soup and things like that.  I've found that I don't miss the food as much as I miss the chewing. LOL.  I wish I could chew gum.  Good to see you guys are still doing the daily eating thread.  HOpefully, I can contribute more.  There for a while, I felt like crap and just seemed as though my entire world revolved around my weightloss and coming here seemed to remind others of how fragile we wls guys are and I just didn't want to upset everyone.  So, taking a break was not only good for me, but it was also good for all of the newbies.  I'll try not to focus on my pouch so much. But, I can eat potatoes.  Yeah.
