Hi Everyone!

Up early so I thought I would start the thread.  Going to visit my Art teacher today.  She had a complicated and dangerous surgery.  She also had a pulmonary embolisim.  She is home now and she asked me to come over to visit.

I was up too early again this morning.  Think I will go back and lay down for awhile so I am better company and not so tired.

My daughter wants to go see the Wolfman movie today also.  I just hope I can make it before the kids get out of school.  I think it is going to be crowded.

Too much snow here and cold. I think we are going to get more the begining of the week.  I hope it doesn't.  I have two doc. appointments I would have to cancel if it does.

Haven't worked on my crocheting for a few days,  I don't know why.  Kind of in a funk I think.

Well enough about me and my unmotived life..lol

Peace

Mary

I am on my way.  What a ride it has been.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

The temperature here is still above freezing, so that is a good thing.  I will be driving home in slush instead of ice.

We ended up getting about 8" of snow.  Janet left at the right time.

Pride is giving us a hard time.  We have to coax him into the house.  He wants to play in the snow.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Morning Miss Mary and all my OFFer's!

Margo, so wonderful to see you here more. I/we miss you when you're gone.
Gosh, Mary, sure hope your art teacher is well on her way to recovery. Sounds like serious stuff, for sure.
George, your dog sounds like a character. Baxter goes out, but huggs the side of the house where there isn't any snow. He's back in before the dog door flap stops swinging,...lol!

Poor Gary had a slow start to his trip, over 2 hour delay leaving Little Rock because the plane that was taking him to Vegas was stuck in the Dallas snow.

Okay guys, I need your help. I've sat around doing NOTHING to get this paperwork for my taxes done for about two weeks now. I have to mail them tomorrow to the accountand. SO, if you see me around here later today, please, someone kick my butt!!!  So, with that, I'm off to start the What Are You Eating thread, then get moving. Hopefully. Maybe. AGH!!!!

Love and hugs

Susan

Oh - BTW I'm not eating - drinking a not-so-yummy protein shake.

Have a great day and I hope you get a whopping big tax refund!

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

Nothing much to report from southwest Michigan.....kids are out of school until Tuesday for "mid winter break", we sure didn't have such a thing when I went to school!  We have around 8-10 inches of snow.

Sis came yesterday and cleaned, did laundry, and got groceries for me.    I ordered a pink tulip and white carnation flower arrangement for her and had it delivered here to give to her for Valentines and for all she does for me.   She really liked it.

I bored being stuck in the house for weeks on end......trying not to let myself be depressed.   Have had some company and phone calls so that helps.  Would love to go to church next Wednesday as it's the beginning of Lent, but I'm sure that won't happen.   My leg is so dry and the skin is flaking off under the bandages and it itches badly.  Going to call next week and see if I can take the bandages off so my leg and the incisions can get some air.  Sis washed my toes yesterday and man did that feel good (they aren't bandaged).

Time for some breakfast and then my beautician is coming to cut my hair....she's so good to come to my house, I really appreciate that, so will give her extra $$.

Have a good weekend, enjoy the Olympics, and stay safe and warm.

Hi Mary - good luck and hope you like the wolfman movie - the previews are too much for me!

George - we have an Australian shepard and he is a snow freak!  He runs and runs around our yard and even sticks his head in snow piles.  He is definitely up for the Minnesota winter.

Susan - get busy - you'll feel better once your done.  I can be a procrastinator and I always pay for it!!

What am I doing to celebrate Friday?  Anything I can think of!  It is Friday here, pay day, AND a three day weekend ahead!  Wooo hooooo

Michael got into a dialysis clinic nearer to our home and at a better time (7:45).  So I won't have to get up at 5:00 3x a week now!   And once the weather is better, he can drive himself.  That will be fabulous!

I'm behind in my reports, worked from home, but not very hard.... Time to get a move on!  Have great days and weekends.

Hi Mary and my OFF family:

I have an appointment today at the Honda dealer to see what they can do for my driver side lock ... it sticks. It's a 1996 car and I can't afford a new one (well, this was the year I was going to start saving for a new one, but oh well ...). It has 140,000 miles on it but still runs well ... has some rust on it but not a whole lot. Just wi**** wasn't silver. All I've ever had were silver or brown/beige cars. The next one will have some color to it ... maybe red. I want a red car. Red is my color. Anyway, my mechanic said the job is probably going to cost me $200.

So today I had to check to see if my income tax refund was in ... it was. The joys of having money. Well, this will go to pay my arrears of condo association fees and get those folks off my back. I'm so happy to be able to do that. It's almost the entire amount, that's how far in the hole I was with them. The next thing I'll pay off (next week, when I get my severance check) is my dentist. See, I'm not wasting this money, I'm paying bills and getting things fixed that need fixing ... plus taking the cats to the vet (they haven't been there for three years).

Anyway, I guess I should get going. Need to find an envelope, get it ready so I can mail it out to the condo association after I get the cashier's check from the credit union. Got a few other stops to make, too, this morning.

Oh, my house showing never happening yesterday ... but I had a nice surprise. I was unpacking a box I brought home from work and there was a card in it I didn't recognize. So I opened it and it was from one of the Muskegon sports copy editors. He thanked me for my work the past few months and gave me a $10 gift card to Cracker Barrel. I thought that was so nice. I've only worked with him since October and he was nice enough to give me a going-away gift ... more than I got from the rest of the people I worked with for 10 years. Wasn't that nice of him?

Anyway, have a nice day.

Sending hugs your way, as I have a bully in my life too and it makes my life miserable.  I just don't know how to deal with her anymore, but I need this job, funny thing is I am not alone in this, but for some reason those in charge like her (I guess she is very good at what she does, but she is a miserable person to work with). . .  any day she is not in or I am not at work is a good one. . .

oh well, hugs Connie. . .
