Fed the carbs to the ducks
This is going to be my food/reflection journal from today on. Had my RNY on July 30, 2009 and have lost 81 lbs so far.
February 9, 2010-- Woke up in the middle of the night with the sudden realization that the pantry and fridge were bursting with too many processed carbs in the shape of whole-wheat bread, bagels and tortilla wraps, so I put them all in the food processor and fed them to the ducks this morning. “Whole wheat" may mean that the products are healthier, but they still have lots of processed carbs, and processed carbs are my downfall
. Only kept some plain unsalted rice cakes and Finn Crisps, which satisfy the crave for crunch but do not tempt me to graze intermittently until the carb count goes through the roof.
Must be ever vigilant lest those dreaded carbs start creeping back in the house, where they’ll lurk in the shadows tempting me to overindulge. The sugar-free cookies are kept at work so that my intake is limited to one cookie per day. When that pack is finished, I will not buy them again for some time.
What I plan to eat today:
B- ½ C 1% cottage cheese, 1 T SF strawberry preserves
L- 1 C Wendy’s Chili, 2 Saltine crackers
S- SF Cookie
D- 1 broiled drumstick (no skin), sauteed spinach, SF popsicle
S- 1 C 1% milk, 1 scoop protein powder
What I actually ate today so far:
B- ½ C 1% cottage cheese
1 T SF strawberry preserves
S- 1 SF cookie

I laughed at the visual of you processing everything and feeding it to the ducks. You have given me an idea when there is something here that I don't want anymore. lol
Good luck, sounds like you are doing well
Peace
