Hi!

I never ate a cracker that early out.  Maybe others did.  I just was afraid to get anything stuck in my pouch.

I occasionally eat one here and there now.  I don't make it a habit.

Try one and see how it sits with you.

A cracker after one week.  Wow!  I was on protein shakes, broth, jello and decaff tea for two weeks after the Roux-N-Y.   Even after 6 months, all types of processed carbs are strongly discourraged.

It's interesting to see how diet guidelines vary.

Hope you have an easy time of it.  Good luck.

Hi,
According to my manual, for weeks 1-4 I could have whole wheat crackers or melba toast. I'd go with Melba, she was always good to me. Just make sure you let it get mushy in your mouth before swallowing!

Thanks! I know that it is early. I just wanted to be ready as I don't get to town and I am going home from my sons today. They can just hang around for awhile. I will try the melba toast.

I didn't have crackers until a month out, then it was whole wheat saltines or low-fat Wheat Thins. I don't know about your doc, but I'd take it slow.

Thanks, I am still on jello, pudding stage #1 baby food, sf Popsicles, tomato soup, Broths, and juices.
I was sick to my stomach until yesterday so I haven't gotten in my proteins or sipped like I should. I found gas ex coats my stomach and stops that felling. No crackers for now. Thanks
