saturday morning review
It's my Friday!!!

We're excited about the Super Bowl tomorrow, which is being played on our son's 26th b'day. Nice that everyone is having a party for him, isn't it? We're hoping the Saints win, as Drew Breese used to be a Charger and we think he's a great guy. What a wonderful thing for NO. They needed this, win, lose or draw!
Ok, on to starting the boat sailing down the river, then back to resetting up my phone. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I am enjoying looking out my sliding glass doors at the winterwonderland that is in my backyard! Roxie loves the snow and she was out there hopping all around, tossing the snow in the air and really enjoying it, even though it is up to her chest. Thinking we must have about 15-18 inches already and it is still coming down pretty steady, well I missed the last snow event, not so today. . .
I am just getting over a stomach bug that had me home from work yesterday and losing over 4 lbs. in just 2 days (lol), I'm sure it is just a temporary weight loss, but maybe if I am real careful, it won't be, plus with all the shoveling I have to do, that should help some. . .
Well I guess I'd better get off here, as Foxie Roxie is poking me and seeking some attention here. . . .
Everyone dealing with this winter storm, be careful, if you don't have to, then stay off the roads!
Wishing you all a happy day and strength to get through whatever life has given you to deal with.
Hugs, Laureen

Enjoying my carmel truffle decaf coffee while I read and catch up.
Nothing going on today, just more of the same here. We did get just a bit of snow, probably an inch or so......be careful you folks on the east coast who got hit pretty hard.
Off to make my breakfast now so have a super Saturday.

Done! Your Ticker:
Good morning, ya'll.
It's Saturday! We got our new TV yesterday. After the delivery guy set it up he said when the Geek Squad comes out next month they'll adjust it and the picture will be much better. Well, if it gets any better, I'll be convinced those people are right in my family room!! It is supposed to run for 1000 hours before it gets adjusted.
I am making party mix for the Super Bowl tomorrow. I love that stuff. My DH and I like ours very garlic-y. Our DIL will take some with her to the SB Party they are going to.
We got 4" of rain in the last 2 days. My back yard is a wading pool!! To all you folks that got hit with all the snow, I hope you are warm and safe. Stay in if you can.
Isn't it funny how our minds work? Ever since I found out my left shoulder is so much worse than I thought it was, it has been hurting like crazy. And I knew I needed a new left hip joint, but after the doc confirmed it, I'm limping even more than usual. I need to sit down and have a little talk with myself. I CANNOT let this pain sideline me. I have too much stuff to do, and I've been living with it for years, what's another month or so.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!
This is a quiet weekend. We are going to coffee today with the WLS group. Then a couple of errands. I'm looking forward to reading, relaxing, and I want to learn to knit! That's my latest thing.
Yesterday I shoveled snow! It was good exercise, too.
So... not much going on here.

I'm down 120 pounds - thanks to RNY! Working on the next 25. Then I'll tackle more...
Well... we got hit hard with snow during the night. About a foot of snow. The drifting is horrible. I couldn't open my back door to let the dogs out this morning. Had to shovel a little path.
It is also freezing out. They say where I live just a little more snow today and blowing and drifting... Gee, I can't wait.
We were going to see my sons band tonight. I doubt it now.
His girlfriend tried to drive out of the driveway and got stuck. My husband is trying to dig her out.
Have to go to Aldi's today but I hate to go in the snow. I can't help it. Have to buy things . This is mother hubbards cupbard here. Just too bad it is so bad outside. Hubby will take me though.
Have a good day, stay warm..... And, stay safe.
I am on my way. What a ride it has been.

We're going to make a huge tent in the living room after naps with blankets. They have a real tent, but this is more fun. LOL
Have a nice weekend. You friends out east - stay inside! We got another inch yesterday. Broke a record for the most continuous days ever with at least 5 inches of snow on the ground. UGH We were in Des Moines when they had their first blizzard of 16 1/2 inches so, we know how you feel. We were stuck here for 2 days after that storm.
