What is New It is officially Friday!!!!!

Sorry to hog up the thread for the 2nd day ina row, But I am bored sitting at the Denver Airport waiting for my flight to start bording. I am on my way back to Tampa. I get home around 10am...Oh the red eye!!!!!
I had a great time surprising my friend!!!!! She was very excited for me to be there for 3 days.
I went to see my surgeon this morning and he doesnt recomend the rose procedure. So I have to go back to basics and do only 700 calories a day for a while protien  veggies fruit like atkins. Maybe that is the way to go. I did manage to only have around that much today and I think I did pretty good.
This 20 pounds is killing me.
Well talk on cause my battery is running low!!!!!

Hi Carla and those yet to get out of bed, have coffee and post!

Well... I didn't sleep well last night.  Finally got up at 3am.  I see a nap in my future.

I am really doing well on my diet.  I lost another two pounds.  I am feeling really good.

Saturday night we are going to see my son's band at a small bar here in the area.  They have been playing venues downtown Cleveland but this guy who owns this bar wants them to play there.  It is a hard rock band.  I mean really heavy.   I guess I will have to join the mosh pit.  You have to fight for your life to stay alive.  Sound like fun?  lol.  No I am not going anywhere the pit.

Ugh,  My daughter was so crabby last night I couldn't stand it.  I just sat quiet crocheting to get her out of sight and mind.   I hate to be around people who get that way.  Wspecially when someone is trying to pick fights.

Had to buy a load of wood yesterday for our woodburner.  We keep the house pretty warm with it.  65.00 gone just for burning something..lol

Yeah!!!   We get to wear jeans to work today.  We had to buy a March of Dimes T shirt and wear it too and pay an extra dollar to the activity fund but it will be fun.  We don't normally get to have jeans Friday anymore.  Our facilities are starting a benefit for the March of Dimes for underweight babies.  We're having a contest to see which facility collects the most.  The winning facility gets a big screen tv for their residents.  I'm looking forward to the weekend.

They are calling for big snow and we're all prepared.  I went to the grocery store yesterday, which was packed.  All the trash is out and now it's the waiting game to see how much of the white stuff we actually get.  We have three Netflix movies, so we're actually looking forward to it - lol

Finally a busy two days at work, thank goodness!  Hate sitting around waiting for the phone to ring. So, won't stay long, gotta get dinner into the crock pot and the putty on the face!

Another rainy day in Central AR and they're talking about some snow on Mon/Tues. Another weekend adventure at the grocery store as the food hoarders stock up. So funny!

GOOD NEWS!!!  Sprint fixed my phone and it's on the way back to Best Buy. Might get it today, Monday for sure. Can't wait. Crazy how we get attached to these gadgets.

A lot going on in Texas.... for one, I'M ON VACATION!!!

I'm worried about my Louise, though. She's GOT to get out of Buffalo and into Houston by Sunday morning.... She's planning to be in Houston on Saturday but I'm cutting her some cancellation slack.  She reads this, she'll panic.... oops, sorry...  SHE'LL BE HERE AND SOOOOO GLAD TO BE LEAVING NY.

I've not packed a thing... my hair has brown and white roots... my house is a wreck.... my laundry needs doing... and I've got errands....   leaving early in the morning to get to Houston to pick up my Louise, then on to TerryT's for the night.  We're meeting LindaB there.  It's Mardi Gras in Galveston.

Weather is cold and rainy.... don't want to whine much. I know how much our northern friends are freezing.

There was something I wss going to ask you all but darned if I can remember it.. and besides... I might not be checking back in...

Sorry if I've gone on and on.  I usually have no news.. which is good news.

I did a sort of parallel post on the OFF group this morning.  My computer crashed again last night :P and I'm borrowing DH's right now.  Snow is on the way, time for everyone to panic here!  LOL...Sorry to hear the surgeon didn't recommend the rose procedure.  700 calories seems so little but then we have littler tummies.  Have a good one everyone!  Cassie

Good morning, ya'll.

Yep, it's Friday.  Hooray!!  Actually, I'm retired and one day is the same as another.  Had a grandson spend the night.  He only has one class on Friday and it starts at 11.  He knows I'll be sure he is up and fed and off on time.

Our new 65" plasma TV will be delivered sometime within the next 2 hours.  I put the older 60" one in the much smaller living room.  The kids think it's great, but I think someone's gonna jump out of there and grab me!

Went to the joint doctor yesterday.  He repaired my right rotator cuff back in 2006.  At that time the left one was bothering my, too, but could only afford to get the right one done.  Well, now my left one is shot.  Rotator cuff repair won't fix it.  Will need major surgery (not laproscopic), big scar, overnight stay in the hosp.  Will never get complete ROM, but it will get rid of the pain.  MRI will determine if I need a whole new ball and socket, or just the socket.  When I am done with that and the PT, he will give me a new left hip joint.  We discussed which to do first, he recommended the shoulder since it is so bad.  OK, I'll take his advice.  I have met my 2010 insurance cap already (actually I met it by Dec 15, 2009).  So I'm gettin all my parts fixed while I have no out of pocket expenses.  No surgery can be schedule til the chemo is done, of course, and that will be the end of March, I hope!!  I won't know how to live without the near constant pain.  It has become a part of me! I'm actually only in pain if I move my left arm, or my left leg.

I hope everyone stays safe with this snow that is headed to the northeast. Stay home if you can. We're supposed to be getting the rain from that bad weather.  I am tired of rain.

A busy Friday for me, too!   Took Michael to dialysis this morning at 6:00 in the snowing weather... traffic was slow.  Got to work about 6:40 and I wor****il 10:00 when I leave to pick him up.  Then a couple of errands and then home - took the afternoon off. 

His WLS was postponed a week to March 3.  He is so ready and I'm ready for him to join me on this journey, too!
