Rowing and sailing---what are you eating???
Morning crew mates.
Yesterday was nuts with my eating. I wasn't really busy at work, but when I was busy, my schedule worked against my eating plan. I didn't get dinner before my 5:30 client came in, and by the time I got home, just before 8:00, it was too late to eat what I had planned. Oh well, today is another day.
I bought a nifty milk frother. It's supposed to be used to make milk foam for the top of lattes and such. Well, all it is is a mini emersion blender and it works miracles! I started making protein coffee....1 tbs protein powder, 1 tsp instant coffe, a little warm water. I whip it up with my frother while the water comes to a boil, then add it in. Welllllll, it's nice and thick and is more like a latte than a cup of coffee!!! I might just eliminate my lattes and see if it helps me get a few lbs off.
Here is is so far:
latte
protein coffee
1 mini bagel and a crustless quiche ---I warmed a little pasta sauce and poured it over it yesterday and it was really good. I still think I'll do some playing around with this recipe, though.
protein bar
l--left over lamb curry from yesterday
s--applesauce and cottage cheese
protein decaf
d---steak, 1/2 baked potato, some sort of veggie
s-- don't know, what ever I need to fill out my day. Benefiber 90 cal fiber bar
Hope you all have a successful day rowing down the river.

Susan - I've had one of those for years. I think Emeril calls them an "outboard motor". Handy gadget for all sorts of kitchen jobs and easy to clean.
This thread is a vital part of my day. It is my reminder to eat what is on the list and not skip meals. Thank you for starting the thread each day and to all the other rowers too.
Plan for today:
B - cottage cheese, fruit, Kashi
L - green beans, salad, deli ham
D - chicken & veggie
S - apple & peanut butter

Sugar free candy corn??? No KIDDING??? Gary will just jump outta his socks when he hears this!
do you make your own hummus and tabuli??
I made some hummus a couple of weeks ago, and I have to say, I didn't like it the way the recipe was written. Just not enough flavor, more like wall paper paste. So, you know me, can't leave a recipe alone, added a couple tbs of fat free Italian dressing. Did the trick!
