Morning Eileen and OFF family:
We got a dusting of snow last evening too, but nothing to worry about....at least it's not so bitter cold.

Off to the Dr. this morning to get staples out of the four incisions...I'm sure that's not going to feel too good.   Will post what he says about the foot.

Got Cipro on Monday from Pcp for a UTI.  In reading the material that comes with the prescription, it says it can cause "tendon" complications....good grief, what was he thinking....I just had surgery on two tendons in my leg and foot.....well, I'm taking it anyway and praying there are no complications...will tell surgeon today and see what he says.   PCP knew what kind of surgery I was having....guess he forgot?

Sis will be here today to do laundry and grocery shopping.  My wonderful neighbor guy put in a temp. ramp to the garage yesterday.
That should make it a bunch easier for my DS to get me in and out of the house.

Glad to hear Brenda is okay -- I really need to call her.

Today I am helping my client prepare a small luncheon for her friend. She took it upon herself to make all the arrangements then called me to say I was expected to stay for lunch also. I am so proud of her initiative.

Tom decided that WE neened to clean the refrigerator. In all our years of marriage, this has been a ME job, not a WE job. Ohh Boy! Fun Fun

I have my own, orderly method. Tom's method was to haul everything out of the fridge, pile it on the floor and in the sink, and start spraying PINE cleaner in the empty refrigerator.  Honey, ever hear of baking soda or white vinegar?

No place to walk, sink too full of shelves to start washing the items and the cats, lordy the cats - they thought it was a new playground.

It is clean, we didn't kill each other and no cat was left inside.

 I've missed a lot of work lately due to my DH.  He has cataracts, but they found glaucoma too.  They've had a terrible time with his left eye pressure.  Even after laser surgery.  We have made 7 trips to Des Moines with this.  Des Moines is 120 miles away, so time off work is usually at least a half day.  Thank goodness I get paid for family sick time.  They finally got the pressure controlled with eye drops, so tomorrow morning is the left eye cataract surgery.  From there (45 miles away), we will head to Des Moines to babysit our 2 youngest grandchildren while mommy and daddy are in San Francisco on a work related trip for our SIL.  His parents are watching them today and until we get there tomorrow. 

I hope to get a lot done at work today.  I feel like I'm on a deadline, but I guess with surgery on the 23rd, I am. That also means I've missed a lot of work with MY doctor's visits.  

 I should get quite a bit done today, because my boss will be gone. LOL   It seems she is always at my desk needing something, wanting my opinion, ideas, help etc.  When she left yesterday she laughed and said she is sure I will be happy to have her gone today so she wouldn't be bugging me all day long.  With her out of the office,   I will have to take and hour and half out of my work day to sit in on a teleconference with the State Dept. of Health on the latest H1N1 activities.  (or Swine "flew")   These teleconferences are soooo boring, but a necessary evil. LOL

Since I'll be in Des Moines through the weekend, I'm not sure I'll be able to get on line.  The kids shut off their internet since they both have I-Phones.  Once in awhile I can pick up a signal from an unsecured wireless router, so I'll take my laptop and hope to stay connected to the outside world that way.

Howdy OFF family,
Still crazy busy at work. Hubby said last night I was talking in my sleep, threw the covers off me and said "I'm hot" and he said what? I replied I'm hot I'm working too hard and filing everything away. Apparently last night I was working in my sleep!
No wonder I don't feel rested. LOL

Going to water aerobics tonight after work. Didn't make it to the gym after work yesterday, it started snowing and was yucky out. But I did work out at home.
No matter what, tonight I'm going. Working out at the gym makes me sleep better at night....and maybe I won't talk/work in my sleep tonight!

Sad to say but nothing really new here, nothing exciting to report.

I did do one major thing yesterday but it is so gross I can't share details.  In a nutshell I did my own wound care.  Normally Matthew does it but he couldn't do it yesterday so I had to.  Oh good Lord it was NASTY, gross, disgusting.....that's all I'll say.


If the share button doesn't go away and folks are uncomfortable posting here how about we create an "OFF group" here?  Posting works the same way but there are no share buttons in the groups.  What do think??
