Good Morning OFF Family!

Well I'm not usually up this late on a work night, but I took a Zumba (Areobics to Latin music) class and it just energizes me in a big way, so I came home, watched the President speak and played Bejeweled (lol). . .  and I thought I would come on here and start the thread before I go off to bed. . .  so I will look forward to what you all have going on and I'll check in the morning!

Wishing you all a good night, morning and my usual wish for each of you is for you to find peace within whatever you are experiencing in your life's journey and the strength to get through it!

Hugs, Laureen

Look at you.  Exercise?  Good going.  I have not done any exercise in who knows how long.  Just don't have time.  Right now I am getting less than 5.5 hours of sleep a night.  Six is really a good number for me, but right now I take what I can get.

Not much going on in my world.  I am eating my supper as I type this.  Mashed turnips, corn and turkey meatloaf.  Really good.

My part time workers are getting on my nerves.  Just not taking the job serious.  I know it is part time, but come on.  I have people that are taking off 2 and 3 days a week because their 35 year old daughter has a cold and crap like that.  So, I am starting to write people up now.  And I will terminate if I need to.  And I don't care if someone "shares" this on Facebook.  LOL.

Guess I need to finish my work for the night and then start working hard on my fantasy baseball.  I want to have a good season this year.

I am very happy with the new ownership, once it gets approved.  He was on the radio today and said the Rangers payroll will go up drastically next year.  That's what I wanted to hear.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

George,

Exercise is something I have to do in order to maintain this weightloss, as I learned recently, I cannot afford to have any extra calories whatsoever without packing on the pounds, so I am working hard at removing what has found it's way back on me and then maintaining where I will arrive at.  I do enjoy it, it's just that sometimes, I'd rather go home and be a couch potato and I'm grateful that I am able to do it, as I read about the many who have this and that issue and can't, my surgeon stressed the importance of it before surgery and when I was 1 year post-op, she said that those who exercised regularly, in a sustainale fashion, kept the weight off.  I remember when I first started, it was doing the water areobics classes and I felt like I would never be able to progress, then I signed up with a personal trainer one time a week for a year, that was the best investment I made, it taught me stuff and the fact that I can go through an entire high impact areobics class is still amazing to me. . . anyway, I am sorry you are having issues with workers who don't take their jobs seriously, must be nice not to have to worry about staying employed . . .

Baseball season, I gotta hope for a better year than the last two. . .  hoping the Mets get healthy and stay that way. . .

I have not understood the Mets off season moves.  Bay is a good sign.  GMJ??? Even with the Angels paying 90% of his salary, he still is not worth it.  When he left the Rangers, I told everyone he had his career year and he was going to fizzle.  I said the same about Marlon Byrd when he signed with the Cubs.  A lot of people down here are upset they signed Vlad, but did not keep Byrd.  I think it was a good move.

Good afternoon to my OFF family,
Tried reply to Laureen but it wouldn't open so I'm sending this on to George!

Exercise is good for all...you go Zumba woman!! Wwwwwooooooohohhhooooo!!!!

Took me one hour to get to work, lots of driving into white outs. Yuck...Winter is full blast here in Michigan.

Work is crazy so I'm taking a few minutes out to type howdy to you all but I have updated all my files and starting to call volunteers that need to be compliant with Joint Commission. I'm trying not to pull my hair out and to just trudge on forward!

Will go to the gym after work if the road/weather isn't too bad. If it looks bad I'm heading for home and will work out with my weights but I prefer the gym.

SD that lives with us stayed up til 3am working on her silk flowers for her wedding on 2/12/10, she did a beautiful job and got them all done. She is so happy and excited. I'm happy and excited for her and the kids. A whole new life is just waiting for them.

Last night I got sick after eating WW mint chocolate ice cream cone. Hummmm....I think it was the sugar alcohols. I'll just let SD eat the rest of them. I do better with real ice cream vs the fake stuff that has sugar alcohols in them. But I never eat more than a half cup when I treat myself.

Next time I'll stick to popcorn!

Hi Laureen and my OFF family:

I'm sitting here at work, waiting for my page to get proofed a second time. Then I'll have to fix it a second time. Knee is killing me. It's why I haven't exercised in a long time. My only exercise is usually walking around Meijer on Thursdays. (that's a lot of walking.)

I'm off Thursday (today) as my official birthday holiday, although my birthday isn't until April. But if I don't take it now, I'll lose it. So happy birthday to me. I'm going to a movie today, then do my shopping. I have to make a cake for work on Friday (another birthday ... although his birthday was Wednesday ... he is also being laid off).

George, I'm waiting for spring training to begin, too. Tired of basketball and hockey. Really hate hockey.

Well, have a good day.

Hi Eileen and George, and Laureen.  Those yet to follow, Greetings!

George you work too much!

Eileen, I had a problem with my knee for two weeks.  I held ice on it everyday and tried to stay off of it as much as possible.  I know that would be difficult for you because you are so busyl  When sitting at home, try the ice.

I woke up with my eye scratched or something.  I can't open it because it hurts so bad.  It keeps watering and burning.  Must have scratched it my sleep or I got cream in it.  Wow.... It burns.

What am I doing today?   I might have to go  back to bed to give my eye a rest.

I was going to clean my utility room.  Everything winds up there.  Maybe this afternoon  I can.

Nothing else new.  I live a boring life I think.

Crocheted a lot last night and now today my eye hurts.  Bummer, I wanted to get further a long today.

Take care everyone!

Mary

I am on my way.  What a ride it has been.

I would hardly describe what I do as work.  I am concerned as to how that will change in 6 months or so though.  I may actually have to start working.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
