Our power was out for over 12 hours today
oh how awful.....we were also out of power all night here. No heat...no lights..no water...no toilets..no phones...no computer.....watching the sump hole filling up during the storm and threatening to flood the basement and destroy our heat pump.....the joys of country life! Darn it got cold fast! and outside, high winds, rain beating against the windows...fields flooded...ditches flooding over the roads...yuck!

I know what you're saying there. I watched our neighbor's siding blowing off his house across the street. He had a tarp-type building which totally blew away. I can't imagine what it would be like in a hurricane or earthquake.
Glad everything on your end is okay. Ours is too now.
