Rowing, rolling, sailing, docked, or run a ground. What's your boat doing?
Going out to lunch today with a friend, then to a knitting class at the local library. I've knitted since I was 8, but haven't picked up a project for a couple of years now. Maybe this will get me motivated again. If I'm knitting I can't very well eat, now can I??
2/3 cheese and shaved turkey quesidilla on high fiber tortilla
latte
s- skipping since I'm going out to lunch
L--looked at the menu on line. Think I'll go for either a roasted beet salad or maybe, if Cindy likes them, I'll split an order of mussels with her.
s- applesauce and cottage cheese
d- grilled flat iron steak, garlic green beans
s---:????

Great idea looking up the menu before hand so as to plan what you can eat, at least it's great if the place has an online site. . .

S: Yogurt w/1 tbsn of granola

I can't seem to get my stuff together. I have all the foods I need on hand, but I'm bored with what I'm eating, and so I head for the junk (translate: Carbs. Empty carbs!!)
The only thing that's keeping me even a little in line is this thread, so I thank you all. I think part of the problem is the numbers. I've managed to lose about 5 of the 10 lbs I've gained, down to 150 pretty consistently, and that number does a "number" on my head. I'd still like to lose the other 5, and then would be in a good place, both for my head and the fit of my clothes. I was way too thin at 136 (hindsight is 20/20...), and I don't want to go there again.
I know I'm sabotaging it, but I can't seem to stop. It's definitely been my pattern before WLS. Why did I think it would change??? At least this time I caught it a lot quicker, not after I gained back a whole huge chunk of weight...
So, I'll keep coming here, and I'll post, and I'll admit when I screw up, and I'll get back on track. You all are good for me.
Candy
This has me thinking. Maybe we should start a thread once a week where we post our favorite WLS friendly recipes to share. I know Brenda was going to do a cookbook, but I'm not sure what happened. Now that I think of it, where is Brenda???
Anyway, I digress......I too see old habits coming back. Everyday is a battle to keep them at bay. We have to stay strong, if not for ourselves, but for each other!
Love and hugs
