Brrr.. It's cold outside. What's new in your igloo?

Hello, everyone!

It's darned cold here too...last night, it was minus 17 degrees celcius with a windchill of minus 25!  My son Derek worked his night shift as a Security Bouncer at the club til 4 am and then came home, changed into outside work clothes and went out to service all of his properties, plowing and salting.  He has had a very busy winter season for his business this year...steady work so far...but you never know from day to day.

I went to the Holiday Inn to do water aerobics again Friday...I haven't missed my 3 days/week since I started three weeks ago..to jog in the water for two hours... and I have dropped another 4 1/2 pounds this week.  I'm still eating about the same but the exercize is what's making the difference for me..from doing nothing to two hours of jogging...I do hope that this weight drop continues.  Clearly, my lymphodema is reducing because my legs hurt alot less and I can visibly see the reduction in swelling in my feet and legs.  I've always loved the water so it doesn't FEEL like work (just the getting up and going out in the cold to get there instead of hunkering deeper under my warm blankets).

On Friday, I stopped in at a re-sale store and bought a new bathing suit on half price.  This one has a "tummy" panel and it seems to hold my loose skin much more in control so my belly isn't flopping around when I jog...lol..less waves in the pool!

It's strange that I need to remember to eat MORE! Whoda thunk it? The irony of life...lol.

Today I have to mend my winter coat...it's a long coat to my ankles and I apparently caught the hem on something and tore it up a side seam so that needs repairing and I'm no seamstress.  Laundry is in the works, I'm making homemade beef/vegetable & barley soup and working here in my office for a while...I'm feeling lazy today.

other than nancy b; i have everyone beat------ it was -12 this morning....brrrrrrrrr

so-as my job is evolving it is getting more and more interesting as well as a bit more challenging---it's great and i am lovin it!

that said; the courier was just here and we swapped stuff---so i am heading home to my jammies soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i talked with my gd amber last nite and she has written to me- i got the letter today so i am anxious to read it--her first to me......

well-so much yet nothing--i'm slaphappy i'm so tired.....
