What a rollercoaster I am on.  Trying to lose weight and not snack.  I think I am a stress eater.  I went to bed last night at 9 just so I wouldn't snack. lol

Of course I get up early whether I go to bed early or not.

Today my husband is working, thank God.  I don't know how many days he has left.

Going to work on my afhghan to take my mind off or everything.

Drinking my coffee and contemplating my day.

Church later and nothing else pressing.  Going to spend sometime browsing on the web later this afternoon.

That is it for me, what's new with you?

It has been so cold here....  Freezing....  I hate it.  Calgon take me away !

Good morning, Mary and OFF,

LOL - I love it - what's new in your igloo - LOL

My African Grey, Obi, is saying "Brrr, it's cold outside."  LOL - it sure is Obi.  I believe it is 17 degrees.

I'm working for a bit this morning, cable company is coming to take back the DVR and exchange it for another box....we haven't really DVR'd and our cable bill went from $87 to $157 - ridiculous, so I decided to cut back on things we weren't using and save the $30 per month.  After that, the day is mine to do whatever.  DH is moving the band from our garage to the drummer's house for several weeks - YAY - I can park in my side of the garage again.

Hope you all have a fantabulous day!  Stay warm, safe, and happy.

Debbie

I love African Grey's, such intelligent creatures. We had a minature parrot (grey cheek parakeet, pocket parrot, lots of different names for them) for 13 years. He was my buddy.

Can't blame you for bagging the DVR. That's pretty pricey!

We also had two ****atiels, Einstine and Bogey. All of them are gone now, and while I love them to pieces and miss them, I don't miss the commitment.

Now we just enjoy the wild ones that come to the feeders and the ones we see flying about

Good morning, Mary, and everyone who follows!

Brrrrrrrrrr....Mary, you are so on target!  It is SO cold I didn't want to get into the hot shower because of having to come *out* of it.  And this is with us breaking down and turning the heat up!  Oh Spring, Where Are You???  As much as I love snow, I have to say that when we retire, we are definitely going to have to move south.  I realize they have freezes and stuff too but generally it tends to stay warmer year round!

Mary, about snacking:  do you like string cheese or yogurt?  Lots of times the low/no fat brands go on sale or the store brands are less expensive and are also tasty.  The protein is good for you and will help the "full" feeling as well.  It's so hard not to snack.  (((hugs)))

Today we have to go out for a dr's appt (rats) and then to Walmart to get a few necessaries.  Then it's home again and our afternoon visit with our grandson.  In between times, I'll probably read, blog, and go to Facebook to play Farmville, lol.

Have a super Saturday, all!
Cassie

Hi Irish..:)

I do eat and buy string cheese.  The problem is everyone in the house likes it too.  I hardly get any.   I like yogurt too.  No one else seems to, so that is fine.  I had a few pork rinds last night.  That seemed to curb my need for something crunchy.  Plus I think they have some protein in them .  I hope they are ok to have.

Thanks for the hug, I need it..:)

More (((hugs))) Mary.  I have the same problem as you with some of my snacks, unfortunately.  String cheese is a prime example.  I've even made a point of telling the adult kids:  this is FOR ME, it's one of the few things I can tolerate that is healthy for me you guys and blah de blah.  When the cheese disappears and I ask who ate it, I get the old "Not Me" and "Ida Know".  Remember Family Circus?  So I have changed to buying horseradish cheddar because I know they don't like that kind.  Sigh.  When it comes to pantry-type snacks, I have to keep them in my room.  Geesh.

Yes, pork rinds are a good snack in that they're crunchy and have quite a bit of protein.  My DH loves them.  I'm not too crazy about them but I do like cashews and almonds so I snack on them as well.  Those are crunchy and take a while to chew up so I tend to eat just the right amount.

Hang in there, maybe we can support each other in this?
