It's a nasty, gloomy, rainy day here in the Jersey Pinelands so far. My joints--including the one connected with the piriformis tendon--are all aching and yelling at me. :P Still, I'm going to have a relatively good day. It's a day to nap and just relax around the house, no special plans and no place I have to be. ! I will get a few things done today (like making a meatloaf) done in my own time and at my own pace. I like days like that!

Nothing much is going on here. I called the doctor a few days ago and she told me to go to the E.R. She was on call but I don't think they called her. They figured out that the dizziness is also caused from fluids. I know....that shouldn't happen but I am not good at drinking...we can't all be good at everything I guess. So I have been working on getting more and more water in. It is so hard. I can't believe that I use to love drinking water and did it all the time...now that I HAVE to drink I don't like anything...go figure! I am improving bit by bit. I am feeling somewhat better but I am not sure if it is the fluids or the dizzy pills. I take them as I need them. I figured out that I take 2 in the morning and one in the afternoon and at night.
Kayden is with Mom right now. I had them both here for several days. They finally went home when I went to the hospital. When I am not feeling good it is hard to have the baby since he wants Grandma to hold him. He has taken to calling me Nay and Nay Nay. I am not sure where that came from. I am still working on Grandma when he calls me. It about kills his father when Kayden puts his arms out for Grandma since he thinks it should always be for Dad. I tried to tell him that he has to others in his life but DS just doesn't seem to see it like I do. He is working on it I must say though.
The weather is nice and much warmer. It has been in the high 30's and low 40's most of the time. Just really good weather if you ask me. It sure is better than the big freeze that we had along with all the snow. We got about a foot or a bit more. It seems like once it started snowing nothing could make it stop. haha
I better go. I am boring today and besides...I have to check out what has been happening for the past week. I know that there is going to be a lot but I just might do some grazing...take the important and leave the rest. haha

I'm late as usual. The football is on in the other room and I'm puttering around the house- cleaning, organizing, doing laundry after my husband finishes his (YES, he does his own laundry- he's a big boy!). Last night we went for sushi with our friends and then to see "Up in the Air"- it was very good, but I keep thinking "Was it the BEST this year?" I guess it's been a lackluster year. We are having a very rainy week this week like you Karen. Oh, the memorial service that I went to yesterday was very nice. I love to go to a memorial that is very personal- I hope that my descendents will memorialize me so that you can feel my personality in the service as I felt my friend's Dad's yesterday. Back to work for me!

Julia, We went to Up in the Air also. I liked it but wanted to change the ending. How could he let that be the only life he had?
I also attended a memorial service near Olympia yesterday. The other "grands" watched the girls so that Mike and I could attend. It was for 91 yr old Mary Elizabeth my sister in law's mother. Her son and one of the grand daugthers did the service. No minister which was fine with me. Nothing against them but I don't think that a memorial service is the time or place to try to increase the flock and so many of them seem to think that is their task. Did I say that? Anyway it was a beautiful uplifting tribute to a wonderful wife, mom, grandma and friend. I had known her since my brothe married into the family when I was 9. Up until about 5 years ago I still got a birthday card on my birthday. Then for a couple of years I got a card but not even close to the right date. So sad, Alzheimer's increasingly stole her from us. She's free from all of that now.
