I am getting geared up for the Football Game today....Skol Vikings!!!!!!!! It should be a very interesting game for sure!!

Nothing else new with me...enjoyng this long weekend...glad tomorrow is another day off!!

I remember reading once about how much rain Portland and other places in Washington get and I was so surprised.  I always assumed lots of snow in the winter time.  Duh!  Have a great day!  Cassie

Rain, rain, rain on the west side of the Cascade Mountains. Lots of beautiful snow for the skiers this time of year in the mountains. The mountains kind of block most of the rain so that the eastern part of the state especially my south eastern part is quite dry. South eastern Washington where I live along the Columbia and Snake Rivers gets only about 6-8 inches of TOTAL precipitation per YEAR! That means rain and snow combined. We rely heavily on "The Evergreen State" fits the west side. It's green year round but certainly not my neck of the woods. This year we've had fog and clouds but little snow. I just need to see the sun!

Hi Karen and my OFF family:

Boy, I've been a busy person online this morning/afternoon. I got a message from some guy on Facebook yesterday, and we've been corresponding ... don't know this guy or how he got my name or found me, but he seems nice so far. I'm not giving out so much info yet. No phone numbers or e-mail or anything like that. He lives in California. So it's really long-distance. Plus, while I was on FB, Carla and Janet started to chat with me. Then my friend Roxane called, then Mom called ... whew! Talk about multitasking!

Then, my coworker Kim called and wanted me to work for her tonight because she's sick. Well, before the layoff I probably would have, but now, why should I ... other than to help Kim out, but I've already missed two football playoff games because of work, and my knee, back and head hurt ... so no, I'm not going to do it, not even for the OT or to help Kim out. Why should I do anything for that place? Let them find some other sucker. This is my time off.

But really, I am OK with the layoff now. I am at peace with it. Everything is OK. I heard a song on the radio yesterday ... don't know who sings it ... if anyone can help out, it goes: "Tomorrow's another day, and I am not afraid, so bring on the rain." I really identified with it. That, and "I will survive." Those are my new anthems.

Anyway, I've missed some of the football already and I need to get my laundry in the dryer. So I'm getting off the computer for now. Have a good day. No favs for me in the football games ... my Bears are done. I just enjoy a good game, so I hope they're close and exciting.

Raining here in Ala this am ..Up getting ready for church,, Went to the movies last night and saw leap year,,What a sweet movie...Loved it .
My sweety (soon to be husband when I can gather all my nerves) and I love the same kind of movies. It is a love story , no major story line, but a sweet movie .
Pat  I am nervous about getting my heating bill as well ,,  Had the coldest last two weeks  here in Ala on over 40 years I think they said ,,,,I bet I get a MAJOR SHOCK,,Had to leave the water dripping every night to so pipes wouldnt brea so I will get a double whammy.
I plan on cleaning house today after church,,,When I take Saturdays to just mess around I have to catch up house work laundry etc on Sunday afternoon so when I go to work on Monday, I wont come home to a messy house :)   OH WHO CARES ABOUT DUST BUNNIES ANYWAY 
Have a great Sunday everyone , eat well and try to have a happy place mentally along with a little exercise if you can.

RIght now I have a French Toast casserole in my oven, after it cooks I will take it over to my son's house for breakfast, as I have not seen my grandbabies since the new year began, their busy life, my busy life, anyway, need my dose of Avery and Vaughn and then I will go to the gym, come home and do some cooking, laundry and cleaning beore I sit down to watch the J E T S play, it is an exciting post-season for us dreamers here.

Well that about sums up my doings for today, hope you all have a great day and the strength to pull you through whatever challenges you might be facing!

thanks for starting us today, and hello to everyone else of course.

pat im in a fog half the time, what surgery are you having??

also, cabbage sounds good, maybe i should make some, i need to eat better.

im off to meet a friend for breakfast today, i need a bit of a distraction.  she also
had RNY about a year or so after me, but she doesnt post often on the boards here.

anyway, i think the rain is coming to Jersey later, so im gonna try and get my stuff
done early, thinking about a quick trip to the supermarket after breakfast.
