What's New- Friday, January 15!

Good morning everyone!

First I want to thank all of you who showed concern and prayers for my dad.  He is now in the Cleveland Clinic.  They transfered him there yesterday.  Today he will have all kinds of tests.  I hope, he will be ok.

Nothing much else is new for me.  I just wanted to fly by and say hi to everyone before my day gets busy.

I hope all of you have a good day.  My sincere thank you to all my friends here.

Good morning Julia and all who follow.  My week is just about done.  Less than 45 minutes.

My wife does her scrapbooking every Friday with a group of 3 of her friends and my daughter.  So it's a double benefit for her.  She scrapbooks with her friends and gets to see our daughter and grandson (the girls are in school).

I made a new discovery with my Magic Bullet yesterday.  I love turkey sandwiches.  I do not use mayonnaise or any salad dressings, or catsup, or mustard.  I love cranberry sauce.  I usually put some turkey on the bread and a slice of cranberry sauce on top.  Well, something always falls off, be it a bit of turkey or a piece of the cranberry sauce.  Yesterday I had Mary put it in the Bullet.  Comes out like a turkey salad, but with a taste I love.  Just use it as a spread on the bread.

Looking forward to this weekend with Mary.  Because the next two weeks are going to be rough.  The poor gal will hardly see me.  JD Powers is coming in to evaluate our business, so they offered beaucoup overtime.  I am going to work 17 hours or so by working 5 hours Friday night after I get off my part time job.  Then after working 5 hours, run home for 3 hours of sleep, then work part time job for 5 hours.  Go home for 4 hours of sleep and work for 10 hours.  Gotta do what you gotta do.  AT&T wants their money, as do other folks.  This will catch me up.  For now.  It's a vicious cycle as many of you can attest to.

Wow, George, that's some daunting schedule you have there but I do understand the need.

I love that idea about your turkey..its so simple, why didnt I think of that??  I was given a Magic Bullet LAST Christmas and have never used it.  I really should make use of it.

Do you have any other recipes/uses for the Magic Bullet?

julia; i have been watching for news from your exams-glad to hear all systems are go!!!!!!!!!! and gosh- a few days in san fran every 6 months????pampering oneself???? seriously-you have been on my mind.....i dunnowhat to say about retiring for you--teachers of your breed are becoming rare and you must do well what you do-tho i sympathize the money etc......

so-wow i slept like a baby in this huge room in this huge king sized bed all by myself!!!!!!!!!!! brody was missed tho--oh and michael and roxie too i guess......continental brekkie starts at 7 and trng at 830....tonite i plan to venture out after trng -there's a hobby lobby here-and i need a money order.....and some things............

michael sounded good when we spoke last nite-he has his first dr appt with new pcp today-my mom will drive him since i am here with the car.....he has his lists of health history and meds etc
he'll be fine i just like to be there .....

having this laptop is neat and i am grateful but i want MY computer and MY desk and MY chair.....wahhhhhh...sorry! i needed that-i think this room is bigger than our trailer!

My OH is acting funny too!  I wish they would correct it. I'll be typing and all of a sudden it freezes up and starts blocking text.....grrrr -

Today finds me working, going to my piano lesson, then my DH has band practice tonight, so I might venture downstairs and sit in on a few songs....the band is actually pretty good.  They will have a new bass player audition tonight.  The other bass player has a major attitude, so they decided to give him the boot.  Unfortunately, my DH has the pleasure of giving him the news. 

Well, I'd best get back to work.  I hope each of you have a wonderful weekend.  Prayers being uplifted for those in need.

Howdy OFF family,
Hubby brought me into work today, it's so nice to sit back and just ride and sip my coffee on the way to work!

TGIF!! Work is busy and I love it that way.
Going to meet theelopers (Theresa C.) before her apt. with our bariatric surgeon. Haven't seen her since her last apt...just need to give that gal a hug!

Give Theresa a hug from me too!   I didn't get to see her at our last support group as I was sick and couldn't  be there, and at the next meeting I will be recovering from my foot surgery, so probably won't get there then either.  I know she's doing well.

Theresa has recovered finally from some flu virus. Yep, she sounds great!
