Hi Eileen,
Then it is good you got that return so you could pay some bills.  I'm glad they worked out your check so you don't have to make a special trip.  Did they give you any kind of package with your lay-off.  My company gives a weeks pay for every year you've been with the company when they lay you off.
Did you schedule all your check-ups to get in before your health insurance runs out?  Are rents much cheaper than a monthly condo payment?  I'm thinking of you.
Hang in there.
Bev

Unfortunately, I can't do yearly checkups because it'll be less than a year since I had them. I do need to get into the dentist because I'm having an issue with a tooth. I have lots of questions about insurance right now before I use all my HRA and FSA money and then have to pay it back.

Yes, they gave us a week of pay for every year, but if I had taken the buyout last year, I would have gotten two weeks of pay ... I didn't take the buyout because I couldn't and I was told I was one of the ones they wanted to keep around. So much for that lie!

Rent would be cheaper than the condo payment. I'm paying $908 for mortgage and $226 for condo fees. I was paying $680 I think for my apartment. No garage and it was on the second floor (I would definitely need ground floor now and want a garage).

Anyway, I meet with this outplacement counseling service on Friday so I have lots of questions for them.

Thank you Bev...the people from Walgreens are going to be talking to her...she really doesn't want to work for them if she can find something else.  Thank you for thinking of us!

Hello everyone!
Eileen, I'm so glad for you!
When I get a chance, I'll read all the other posts.
Still nothing new or exciting (yawn).  Yesterday was a cotton-brained sort of day.  I didn't have any appointments for doctors, etc. and so I thought I was going to get a lot done.  I have fibromyalgia and sometimes I have this "fog" that descends on me.  Yesterday was one of those days.  I just couldn't get going in any meaningful direction, LOL.  So I did a lot of farting around.  I did find and scan some retro pictures of me from the '70s.  That was fun.
Today I was out most of the day going to dr appts and running errands again.  Later I'll need to pick my daughter up.  She's on the high school's varsity bowling team.
Have a wonderful Wednesday, everyone!
Cassie

Cassie:

I understand about "fibro fog" ... I have fibro too and now I can blame that for my spaciness.

I really liked hearing the good news from you Eileen.  It's one step forward.  Next, a new job.

Connie, hoping Carrie can find something she really wants.

Mary, glad Michael is finally home with you.

Judy, hope your back is feeling better real soon.

Margo, I mistook your job offer as being in Muskegon.  Must be that just the training is there.

Hope everyone had a good Wednesday.  Now on to Thursday.
Oh, my son texted me and asked me if I'd come back and help them for a few days.  :)  I'll go down next Wednesday probably.  Need my Josh fix!
