Sunday!!!

  I don't usually start this thread..but, its around 6:30 am here in NY.  Its colder than cold...and I was just awakened by 2..CATS.  Annette calls them the fur babies..I am just now calling them every 4 letter name I can think of. 
  They stood at my bedroom door whining and crying for food and water..and of course the water had to come from the faucet!!!!!
  So now I'm up.
  No real plans for today..had to attend a funeral yesterday so I guess that means I get around to cleaning my house today.
  Tomorrow is my pre-op meeting with the drs. and blood work to prepare for the parathyroid surgery. 
  Its too cold here for man or beast!!!!!  So everyone keep warm as best you can.

  Eileen..I'm so sorry about your job.  Hang in there..I do believe that there is always something better waiting..we just don't see it right away.

  George..sorry about the mess at your house.  Mine mess was flooding kitchen from pipes under the sink on of all days CHRISTMAS!!!  In a few days you and Mary will be laughing about it.

i'm up-dunno why...i think maybe it is TOO quiet upstairs in nan and marc's house! at our lil trailer we have a very noisy furnace right outside our bedroom door! slept well tho!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this visit was to be a few hours and turned into an overnite before we even came up-can't do this often; they might charge us rent!!!!!
so-i'm sitting in marc's chair watching the American flag waving as the sun is rising-awesome picture!

nan took me to TC for my toilet paper at target yesterday-we went to Michael's craft store-yes! there is civilization here!hit the clearance aisle for stocking stuffers and looked for soem yarn--and Sam's club; home for a wonderful dinner and great conversation...just chillin out stuff!!!!the guys watched some football and we talked .....so great to be near (within an hour) someone so wondermous! can't wait to meet jani and to see phyllis again!
well-my battery went low so i'm in the kitchen;marc is up and coffee started ....

OK, you're both in trouble now for not calling me!  I was actually in town yesterday at Walmart, the Mall (&Target), and Sam's club too.  Could have been there at the very same time...who knows?  I guess we'll get to meet SOMEDAY!
Gary went to a gun show in Cadillac this morning, so I'm home with the dogs and my computer for a while this morning.  I think we're going to have stuffed cabbage for dinner tonight.  I've got Anthony Bourdaine  the Food TV channel on right now.  He eats some weird stuff, that's for sure.  YUK

Still in my January funk but clawing my way back up to the surface. Started back at the gym last week. Made it 3 days and plan for 4 this week. I've been sewing and cleaning and walking. It isn't even all that cold here. Back "up" to about freezing which is tolerable for January. However, on the rare day that the sun tries to break through either fog or clouds scurry in to cover it back up. I talked to a young man at the gym who moved here the end of October. He said "Where are these 300 plus days of sunshine a year I heard about?" I told him they will start in March which is true! We have many, many beautiful sunny days just not from Nov-Feb! Sure has had its grip on me this year. Won't go into more details. Suffice it to say  that I have not been "nice" to anyone.

This week brings a short trip. Hopefully that will help. Going to see the kids: two nights in Seattle with Nate and Kristin, followed by 4 nights at Erin's. Two of those nights Mike and I solo with Hannah and Clara while their mom and dad escape for a short anniversary weekend.

I've been planning our trip to Houston/Beaumont/ San Antonio in mid February. Hope  to catch up with Teri T. Karen M, Linda B any chance of connecting with you two?

Well, coffee's about done and the morning has broken. Taking in a movie this afternoon with a friend. Not spending another day in front of the tv all day. Can't decide between "Avatar" (will I get motion sick?) and "Have you heard about the Morgans?"

Sending positive thoughts your way; please send them back to me in an avalanche. I can use all that I can get!

Karen, Avatar is also shown in non 3-D. Gary is blind in one eye and can't see in 3-d, so we'll be seeing it the old fashioned way. You might have to check with different theaters to find it.

Go see Avatar in 3D. I absolutely loved it. I am going to see it a 2nd time today.

I'll be here in February, no plans to travel. Would love to get together. If I know ahead of time I may be able to schedule time off work if you are here on a weekday. E-mail me re when you will be here, the exact dates and when you might want to get together. It would be great if we could do something with Terri and Linda but may be hard to coordinate with our different schedules.
