What's New, Monday?

I guess I win again today.  I get to start the thread.  I just got home from work, and am wide awake.  By the time I leave my building, walk over 1/4 mile in 20 degree windy weather, and drive for a half hour, I'm as awake as it it was morning!  It doesn't last long, then I'll crash.

I spent the weekend finishing up some of the details on the work I've been having done on my house.  All the staining and painting is pretty much done.  Today I worked on putting everything back.  My laundry room has a huge amount of storage and I had to take everything but the washer and dryer out because of  the construction mess.  I spent 4 hours on it Sunday and didn't make a dent.  I'll be working on it all week.

Not much else happening in my life.  Looking forward to my vacation next month and I'm trying to lose a few pounds so my clothes are loose before I leave.  I'm not doing too well at that.  My own fault.  The tool still works.  If I don't leave it in the workshop.....

I hope everyone has a great day.  I'll stop back in after I get some sleep.

I love that!!!!  I may just steal it.

Had a decent weekend, outside of the garage flood.

Mary and I went to the Laundromat today.  We are debating just doing that every two weeks instead of the bother of keeping laundry caught up at home.  We got all the laundry done in less than 2 hours.  That included 2 king sized comforters.

Mary and I are trying to figure out if we want to go to the OH Conference in Houston in November.  I know it is a long way off, but we are already planning on Vegas at the end of November.  I was able to go to the OH Conference in Dallas, but Mary was sick at the time.

Not much else going on here. Very uneventful outside of yesterday's excitement.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

good morning candy and george and all to follow

its 4:15 am and ive been up for 45 minutes already.  its so early and the house is
cold.  i want to make coffee but dont want to wake bob, who has been sleeping in
his recliner since he got sick.  he says he is more comfortable there.  the kitchen
is right next to the family room.  ill try waiting awhile, he needs his sleep.

its back to work today.  the good news is we are just about done with moms
apartment.  all that is left are a few large boxes to haul out, and a few large
bags of clothing and shoes to donate to the thrift shop.

have a great day everyone, stay warm and hugs to all in need.

Hi Candy, Jacki and George and those to come!

Oh it is cold here this monrning.  Yesterday was worse.  I guess we are into a rough winter this year.  It is suppose to warm up by the end of the week  "30's"  Wow, a heat wave I need sunscreen!

I agree with George Candy that is a pretty good line.  I may keep it also.  Put it in your signature!

Nothing much going on here.  I think everyone is over the flu now.  Thank God.  I didn't get the H1N1 shot yet.  Anyone else get it?  My doc said she doesn't think I need it but I think I am going to get it anyway.  I have asthma and don't know why she doesn't think I need it.  Weird, I wonder if they really read the charts sometimes.

My dogs are cold when they go out.  My chiahauha  lifts one foot then the other until all four he has hopped on to go to the bathroom.  I have to bring him in right away.  My daughter lived with him in Florida for about a year.  I am sure he wishes he was still there.  The other three romp and stick there heads in the snow chaising a ball.  The cold doesn't seem to bother them at all.

Well that is my daily report.  It may change, it may not.  For now I am doing my excercise.  Lifting my coffee to my mouth.  Though my right arm gets more excercise it seems.  Have to work on that.

Have a good day despite the cold weather and smile

Good morning Candy and OFF,

LOL - I love it -- the tool works if you don't leave it in the workshop - too funny!

I was feeling dizzy and off balance yesterday, so I took it easy.  I hope this feeling leaves really soon.  This is a chronic problem for me, but I had been feeling really good up until now....so I hope by taking the meclizine last night before bed will help.  I'm feeling kind of groggy this morning from the med, so hopefully that will wear off soon too.

I finally got the Christmas tree/decorations down yesterday.  Now, they just need to be moved upstairs and that's finally taken care of.  Whew -- I was late getting it down this year.

Well, I'd better get back to work.  Hope everyone is keeping warm.....it's really cold here in PA.

Hi Candy and my OFF buddies,

Candy, I couldn't resist, I had to use your line for the daily eating thread. Might even steal it for my support group meeting on Thursday.

We spent the better part of the day/evening watching football. We did get the house cleaned up before noon when the first game started, so I don't feel like a total bum. It also means I can have time for some retail therapy today....YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!  I have to find some dress pants, not fun since I have a hard time finding ones that are age appropriate. Then, I think I'll use my Christmas money to buy the Wii Fit. I looked online at the various games and they look so fun. Maybe I can get Gary to join me in a snowball fight?
Then it's on to the beauty supply to stock up on color and perms. Business is picking up, thand goodness, and there is a busy week ahead.

Hope everyone is doing well this Monday and that you had a good weekend. Welcome to our new members! Hugs and prayers to those who need them, and even the ones who don't!

I had a scare yesterday. Two bites of food and pain almost knocked me out. Tom helped me into bed, the pain abated and I slept for a couple of hours. For the rest of the day it was water and sleep.

Yeah, you may give me a swift kick in the butt. I'd tell others to go to the ER or at least call their surgeon. Shame on me.

In a few minutes I'll try some breakfast. If it hurts, I'll call the doctor.

Annette - it must have been the day for stomach pain --- I had 3 bites of some homemade ff/sf ice milk and was almost instantly in pain -- it lasted about an hour - I felt nauseous but nothing would come up, sorry.
Finally laid on my left side on the bed and things started moving - could hear gurgling and then got sick to my stomach and instant relief.  But, oh my, the pain was terrible.  Feel okay this morning, but taking it lightly today.   Hope you are better too.
