Hey Clara, and welcome to the OFF forum. We're a good group of people here. By posting, you've become part of the OFF family - lol - congratulations on your upcoming surgery. You'll do just fine. For me, it was the BEST decision. No more meds - yippee. If you have any questions, please feel free to post them. This forum is extremely supportive. Good luck to you.

Hi Clara,
I'm not new either to OH but this the first time I have looked on this forum. I had my RNY on May 11 2009 and I was 61. I have lost 90 lbs and have had no probems. I feel like a new woman. I am off all diabetic meds and high blood pressure meds. I was in very poor health but am getting healtheir every day. I was concerned also because of being over 60. But it is truely the best thing I have ever done for myself.
I have been only going to the main board and I am glad to find this forum as well. I am wishing you a great surgery and recovery.

Hi Clara. You are here. That's it, just like others have said. Good bunch of folks here. Not much drama at all. If you are looking for drama, you are probably in the wrong place. And that is why I like it here.
I am retired AF and lived in Plattsburgh for almost 3 years. Miss the snow, living in Dallas area now.
Make sure you check out the What's New thread that runs daily. Join in, become a bigger part of us. Also, you will find out a lot about the others on the board.
Look forward to learning more about you.

Hi!
To all that posted I really appreciate the support I can really use it as I have been feeling down and wondering how I ever let myself get in this bad of shape.
I am sure I am going to like this forum.
Hey George!
Just to let you know that I sure am not looking for drama as there is enough to go around other places. I have alwayes had to look out for myself and my family when my hubby was away working. No Drama Queen here.
Cheers,
Clara
