Hello everyone.  I have been missing in action for quite awhile.  Its called life.  I won't bore you with the details but in short.  I am still having extreme vertigo and nothing seems to help.  I am seeing a chiropractor and my neck feels better but the dizzies are still driving me nuts.  since my vision is also a little off I am going to make an appt with a neurologist as a precaution.  I have just placed my mom in a nursing home in Louisiana and that is where I am now.  Just got back from St Augustine, FL sunday and now I am in LA.  Life is chaotic and I am not doing well with diet and weight.  I will be back in Houston sunday and will attend a new support group at Methodist Hosp. on tuesday.  Got to get this under control.  I have been reading a few posts and it seems that several of us have issues at this time.  I wish every one strength and perserverence to get through all these struggles.  Prayers for healing for those who need them and lots of love to all.

Good Mornin' Linda & All,
I too have been MIA.   Hope all went well with getting your Mom placed in a nursing home.   Maybe stress has something to do with all the other stuff going on?  Don't know, but just wondering.    Life is good here, but still I am eating way too much, both good lean protein & junk (carbs are my downfall).   I've been moderately busy, but seem to find excuses not not exercise.   Gotta get back on track.   I'd like to have gotten on Susan's barge yesterday, but am afraid It would sink......   My heart is still hurting for Dorothy, thinking about her Daughter.... Much love to all.

Hey Jan, great to see you posting!  How's piano going??  I struggled through some Christmas songs, which I think were a little difficult for me.  Christmas Pops from the Keveren series.  I did master Do You Hear What I Hear...what a beautiful song.

Hope all is well with you.

Jan,

It is great seeing you here, I've been thinking about you, but if I don't do something exactly when I am thinking about it, well you know how that goes. . .  Think there are a good many of us "getting back on track" these days, but that is the good part, we know when we have to and coming here makes it more of a commitment, at least that's how it works for me.

Take care and Happy 2010, hope it is a good one for you!

Hugs, Laureen

Hi Laureen,  I think of you all the time & it's all good thoughts.  Too much to put here - can I call you sometime?   Let me know when's convenient & whether to call the home or cell #.
Thx

Jan,

Call me whenever you like, my cell phone is usually best and I have unlimited cell phone to cell phone calling, with 450 anytime minutes, which I seldom use as most of my calls seem to be cell phone to cell phone numbers.  Some of the best times to reach me is probably 2:15 p.m. to 3 p.m. your time, Mon thru Fri, as that is when I am driving home and I have a wonderful handsfree device, and driving and talking are not an issue for me.  Additionally, with the exception of Thr, you can reach me most evenings at home anytime after 5 p.m. your time.  Weekends, depends on what activity I am into, so try me anytime, but if you call and get my voicemail, just leave a message as to when the best time to call you back would be.

It sure makes me happy that you have all good thoughts when you think of me ;) as I feel the same way when I think of you!  Hoping to see you in the Fall ;)

Hugs,

Good morning.  Just a quick stop by.  Kinda light here at work tonight.  So glad I only have one more night.  Then it is weekend time.  These days are going by so fast.

Currently reading John Grisham's newest book (Ford County Stories).  Can't say that I am impressed.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Hi, George - Grisham's last few books have been a major disappointment for me.  My favorite of his is The Summons.  He's probably not writing them by himself, if at all.  A few books ago he did one set in Italy (not the pizza one - which was also so-so) which was just horrible and turned me off to him.   Have you read Ken Follett, esp "The Pillars of the Earth" and "World Without End"?  Remarkable.

Those two Ken Follett books are outstanding. Read them last year and enjoyed them immensely.
