Actually, Marti, 135 was my original personal goal weight. It's not so much the numbers as it is the mystery that surrounds the gain.

Hi Susan,

I'm poking my head back out, dipping my toes in a little from my self-imposed exile...
I too have gained some weight so the mind demons come racing out to say "I told you so", makes it easier to stay away. 

I found for me that just keeping my calories under control isn't enough..those calories have to be the right percentages of the right kinds of foods. I will lose consistently  if I eat 1200-1300 calories a day with no more than 150 carbs per day and under 40% fats and keep my protein in line. That is what works for me...when I change that formula I quit losing and even gain even with reducing the number of calories I eat... When I dip under 1000 calories a day I don't lose at all... I also need to eat high fiber foods instead of the easy to digest stuff.

Don't know if this will help you at all, It's just my experience and I  just wanted to reach out to you.

Sorry I'm replying so late but I have not been around myself lately...this is my first day on the PC in about 9 or 10 days.

I'm sorry you were having such a tough time but glad you reached out for help.  It is so hard for me to ask for help so kudos to you for having the strength to do so.  I have to catch up on all the posting but I am hoping you are feeling and doing better.

Hang in there, you can do it.....you can be a statistic on the positive side of things!
