NEW YEAR'S DAY WHAT'S NEW

Hi Everyone and Happy New Year!

Well the kids were home for New Years.  They both had parties to go to but my son's girlfriend was sick.  My daughter said she didn't feel like going because everyone will be drunk and she doesn't really drink.  She didn't want to be taking people home all night.   I think she was just too tired to go.  So, everyone stayed up until Midnight.  Even my husband.

Have to get back on my diet today.  I gained a pound over the holidays.  Not good.

Sounds like everyone had a good and safe holiday.

Stay well and smile today!

Morning off
Happy New years to all.  I hope you all have a few of your dreams and all your wishes come true!  (Gramma used to wish us that a long time ago!)
We went out to see the chipmunks last night.  11 kids and 4 adults (Teens new parents joined us)  had a great time.  really cute movie.
Today we are having the teens church youth party here as the place that was having it has frozen pipes and no water for a 50 kid invasion.  Nothing major.  Its already all planned  just moved sites.  we have a nice firepit  and they are having a bonfire with hot dog roast and such.  will only be in the house a short time for the devotional.  For the first time I am requiring shoes and boots come off.  don't want 50+ pairs of wet boots on  my new carpet!
Hope all have a peaceful day!

Good morning Cindy and all...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Only 3 more no work days left

Tom and I have been walking down to Starbuck's every morning to have coffee and read...very nice. Tonight I am going to go scrapbooking with my sis.
Last night we went to my sister's and had our traditional crab-legs and played our yearly, Beat their butts (the husbands), game of Pictionary. Those men have no chance against the sisters! I'm not sure if we think alike or have some kind of mind connection but you would not believe the words we win with and how little we have to draw them. We are truly a team to be reckoned with.

It snowed yesterday and now is raining....yuck.

Take care all,
Cheryl

Hi Cindy and my OFF family:

Happy New Year and happy new decade. It was quiet here last night. I went to On the Border for lunch and saw "It's Complicated" yesterday, then went grocery shopping. Meijer was a zoo. Spent way too much ... but I was out of a lot of stuff and went shopping without my list. Forgot only one thing, so that was good (the Clementines).

Came home and watched the first disc of "Season 3: The Tudors," then went to bed at 11:30 p.m. and watched the balls drop (in Times Square and Grand Rapids), read for awhile before my eyes started to droop. Slept kind of fitfully, then the phone rang twice and woke me up at 8 and 9 (both robocalls ... on a holiday no less!)

I have to work today, so no big holiday plans. I had yesterday off, so that was better than nothing.

Have a good day.

It was a cozy, quiet night in Minneapolis!  We had lobster tails and french bread (of course I couldn't eat most of mine) - delicious.  Then we made a fire and sat in the great room enjoying that for the evening.  Michael fell asleep and I went on the computer for a bit, playing games.  Then he woke up and we went to bed around 10:00!!  Not too exciting, but a lovely night, nonetheless.  The things that are important to me are right under my roof!  How lucky am I???

Hope you all have a happier, healthier, and more prosperous new year!!!!
