It's New Year's Eve, what's new review
I'm off to the paint store as soon as I can get these bones moving. The ceiling I repainted (again!) is a disaster, and I need some professional advice. I've been painting for years and never had this problem. It's annoying. I also have to match some stain, and my Fri-Sat weekend will consist of painting and staining. Monday the contractor comes back (if my trials and tribulations haven't scared him totally away) and he'll fit and install the trim. There's about 400 running feet of it. Not something I ever intend to try to do by myself.
I work tonight, will be home by about 11:45 pm. It's just another night for me. Not even overtime pay.
I'm thinking I may just want to travel next year at the holidays....
(Thelma, are you listening?????)
Everyone enjoy the last few hours of the year. Tomorrow starts a new year and a new decade!

Good morning Debbie and all my OFF friends,
Not many people here at work today. They usually let us go at 2:00 p.m. A quick stop by the grocery store to get gas and some necessities and I'm home for the rest of the night. The snow has started and it's coming down heavy. We are supposed to get 3 inches but the weatherman lies so who knows how much we'll get. We will spend a quiet New Year's at home. It's supposed to snow through Fri. and Sat.
Sunday we will get out to go see Hubby's Aunt who is shut-in. She lives an hour from us so it's not easy to get to see her often.
Welcome to all the new people having their WL surgeries. I'm so excited for you. You will have a great 2010.
We went to see "Blindside" last night. It was good.
Happy New Year everone. See you next year.
Bev

Hi Debbie and my OFF family:
It's snowing lightly here. It was snowing last night when I came home ... or it had been when I got off work at 2:30 a.m. This one security guard ... older guy ... insists on clearing off my car. Nice guy ... I sure appreciate it because it's harder for me to get the stuff on the top of the car (I'm much shorter than he is) and it's so cold out. So while I sit in the car as it warms up, he brushes the snow off my car. Ain't I lucky?
I was up this morning, but didn't want to start the thread two days in a row. I was pretty bored too ... just had a half page to do all night, but I picked up a pile of advance pages to proof and worked on those while I waited for someone to proof my page. I'm trying to do what Mary Kay told me to do ... find the humor in the situation ... but some days it's so hard.
I'm going out to lunch and a movie this afternoon with another buyout buddy, Gayle, who lives across the road from me. She usually takes care of my cats when I go away. I need to do some shopping after that. My freezer is bare.
Well, I need to get going. Got to check my bank account. Have a good day and Happy New Year!

Back from the movie, shopping, etc. Went to see "It's Complicated." Very funny movie. I highly recommend it. Unfortunately, no handicapped spots so I had to park waaaaay at the back of the lot at the mall and walk back ... my knee is killing me, because then we walked around Barnes & Noble, then to the theater, then I walked around the grocery store (Meijer is like a SuperWalmart, but much, much better). I'm ready for ice packs and the recliner ... Season 3 of "The Tudors" also awaits.
Happy New Year everyone!
Happy New Year everyone!
Thanks for starting this, Debbie. Fun to see everyone starting it, while I'm fast asleep!
Michael is home now, thank goodness. And he feels pretty good, I think. He did well in dialysis and now his first outpatient one is sunday morning, so that's fine. He gets a break. He is so glad to be home and I'm so glad he's there.
Tonight we are going to have lobster tails (parboiled and broiled) - that will be a treat - and then a movie or just relax in front of a fire. Make it to midnight? I highly doubt it. In the 12 years we've been together, I think we've made it to midnight 2 or 3 times!! We are early to bed types.
It will be a peaceful start to 2010. I hope this year brings all of us better health, prosperity, and most of all peace.
Happy New Year!!

I'm down 120 pounds - thanks to RNY! Working on the next 25. Then I'll tackle more...

Not much going on here for New Year's Eve. I've never been one to celebrate but this year I would like to go out. Do something, I feel so old. I live an old person's lifestyle and don't like it anymore.
I met a man who showed interest in me but I was oblivious to what was going on... ha ha ha. It did get me to thinking that I should "put myself out there" and start being around people my own age.
My neighbor & I went out to see Avatar and we had quite a bit of time to waste until the movie started. We went to dinner and it was so nice. He is the same age as my son; I babysit his daughter before school. It was so nice to be out with someone young, just the conversation and different outlook on life.
WOW.... sounds like I'm desperate.. ha ha ha... I'm not. I just have more energy and feel the need to be more active and social.
