It's Wednesday, what's new?

Hi my OFF family:

It's still cold here ... not much else new. At least it's not snowing, so that's a plus.

One of the buyout bunch was back tonight, working part-time as a proofer. It was great to see him back again. He's a good guy. He was proofing sports pages and that was a big help to us (and the rest of the newsroom's pages, too).

My sister-in-law Margaret's daughter Caryn is in labor finally with her first child (Margaret's second granddaughter). The last I heard, labor was progressing, but she hadn't gone to the hospital yet. Margaret went to New Jersey to be with her daughter the day after Christmas; the baby was expected Dec. 27. So not too late. Margaret already has a cute little granddaughter named Maddie.

I went to the chiropractor yesterday and my headaches are better, my back feels better. Then I stopped at the store and got some greens and a rotisserie chicken for dinner. It was nice to have a salad again ... missed my salad. One more night of work and then I have another day off.

Well, what's new with you today? I'll check back later.

It's 11:46 here.  I just returned from seeing the movie Avatar.  The 3D effects were amazing.  The graphics, colors and creativity were mind boggling.  The story line was predictable but oh gosh the rest made up for it.  Well worth the time and money to see it.

Tomorrow (for me anyway) I head to the nutritionist.  She is a specialist in the endocrine department.  I sure hope to get some help with my situation.  I'm so afraid of my blood sugar dropping that I end up over eating.   Seems like I had this overeating problem once before... lol...  for many yeas.... sigh.

Have a great day and enjoy whomever you are with...... and smile....

Millie....I saw Avatar on Christmas Day....I loved the special effects....WOW!!! I was exhausted when I left the theater. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the whole movie! I had sea legs when I walked out!! So much happening all at once...it was exciting to say the least.  That by far was the best 3D movie I have ever seen!

Hugs....connie d

Hi Eileen and everyone to come!

Did not sleep well last night.  Got up at 5 this morning feeling wiped out.   Probably will try and take an hour nap this afternoon.

Went to a thrift store with my daughter and art teacher.  Oh my god, did we get bargains.  My daughter and I both bought leather jackets for 3.00 and they are like brand new.  I picked up a baby blanket that is hand crocheted and never used.  I payed a dollar for it.   I told my kids that I am saving it for my first grandchild.  Neither of them are even close to getting married.  I guess I will have it in storage for a long time.  I will have to will it to someone at this rate..lol

Nothing new here. Going to clean up the house and do laundry.  I have a never ending pile of laundry.  Sometimes I think it will come alive and bury me in it.

Well....  Have a great day and hugs to all

Good morning all.  Wonderful day here.  Snow yesterday that was beautiful, but the ground was too warm for it to stick.  The temperature stayed above freezing, so there isn't even ice on the roads.  The trip home should be a breeze.

One more night of work this year.  Then I come in at 2:15 New Year's Day for four hours before having a couple days off.  Gonna get to spend some time with Mary.  She is gonna get tired of me.  LOL.  Never happen.

We are staying home New Year's Eve, one of her friends is coming over.  We will play with the Wii for a few hours probably, before I go to work.  Friday she wants to clean my office.  She insists there is a desk under the papers I have piled up in there.

Hope everyone has a great day.  2010 is just around the corner.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

George,

You sure Mary isn't looking at my home office instead of your desk.  Why bother cleaning it, it will just get cluttered again, right?

We got about 3 inches of snow Sunday night and supposed to get another inch tonight.  Unfortunately we're way below freezing.  Brenda keeps saying, "there's no stinking reason why it needs to be this cold".  LOL

I keep telling her I know where almost everything is.  If I misplace a bill, they will send another one.

Morning Eileen,

After last year's Christmas in Michigan, your snowfall is hardly anything.  Just thinking about last year makes me shiver.

It's been pretty quiet at work so I've been taking advantage of it and trying to get caught up some.  Next week I have a 3 day training course and at the end of the month I'm going to Columbus, Ohio for 9 days for another course.  Somewhere between there, I need to make a 2 day trip to Washington, DC.  January will not be a very productive work month here.  Brenda is talking about a trip to Michigan to see her mom.  Maybe while I'm in Columbus.

We're hoping to find time to come to Michigan together, but not sure when that'll be.  Hopefully we can see you whenever it is.

Stay warm!

Floyd

Brother,

So good to see you yesterday and today!  Hope, while your life is busy, all is good and from reading your posts it would appear so!

Wishing you and yours the best 2010 has to offer!

Hugs, Laureen
