Catching up a bit...

Sorry I've been missing, but lots going on here.  Michael had his first couple of dialysis treatments in the hospital and will be there until tomorrow (went in yesterday).  This will be a new way of life for us - he having to get it 3x a week (outpatient, of course).

The holidays we anticipated this.  I discovered carbs and didn't dump - not a good thing.  I ate lots of goodies and wracked up a pound and half this week.  But I'm back on track now, focusing on my protein, small meals, giving up snacking.  It feels better already.

If all goes well, Michael will have his surgery in end of Jan. or beginning of Feb.  We shall see!

Hope everyone is doing well.

Mary,

Here's to hoping that Michael has his surgery as planned and that you stay away from the demon carbs (lol). . .

Best wishes for 2010!

Hugs, Laureen

Oh, Mary, I hear ya!    Carbs and sugars sit just fine with me.   I made a chocolate mousse cheesecake on Christmas Eve to take to a dinner.   Sampled the batter and it was excellent.   God put me back in my place when I opened the fridge door and the whole plate and pie came crashing out.  Glass all over. . . .goodbye, dessert!

Give Michael my best and know that I am wishing all good things for both of you in 2010.
