MERRY CHRISTMAS Whats New ?

Merry Christmas everyone. We had a nice family get-together last night. Good food, games, and even some caroling. We had decided to give money to a needy family instead of gifts for each other (the adults anyway) so opening presents took all of about 15 minutes. We had way too much food and I sampled a few too many things - but it was all good. Today my husband and kids will have our own little Christmas this morning, then family is back over for the afternoon. We'll probably have another Wii sports tournament - I have to say I am the bowling champ - 217.  My husband told me to go out in the garage this morning and I find my bike, which had been missing a tire has been refurbished. I guess I have no more excuses to let the exercise slide. All in all, it's been a very good Christmas season. Here's to a prosperous and healthy 2010.

I am just sitting here drinking my coffee in the dark and cruising the internet looking at wood stuff... and watching How It's Made on the TV. Love that show :)

I got a gift card to my favorite woodworking supply place for Christmas... so I got to order stuff I want... yea!

We will go to her parents house later on...

I am looking forward to my other gift I asked for.... a Weigh****chers membership... gonna start on the first of the year. I have been mentally psyching myself up for a month now... I hope and pray the support and encouragement will be the catalyst to finally spark my return to the world of eating right and exercising regularily... I also asked for (and got!) a nice exercise mat... I really need to start a stretching regimine along with exercise... I am so tight in the legs it's ridiculous! ... gotta stretch!

Took my gift card and ordered some more of these new pen kits... it's a new one for me, and folks really liked it... seems a click mechanism is more popular than a twist one... Here's one in acrylic that my wife gave to a co worker... she is handicapped and having a pen she can just tap against anything to activate it made life easier for her... cool beans!

I'm cooking dinner today but it will be an easy one and not till 5pm so have some house cleaning to do in the meantime but right now just drank my hot chocolate and snuggled with a book for a bit!

Good morning, Happy Birthday, and Merry Christmas!

We finally made it to Nashville, the weather was horrible and it took us 90 minutes longer than it should have. Poor Gary white knuckled it the whole way. The kids didn't make it here until almost 10:00 and were whipped too. So, we called it a night and slept in a wonderful bed with a down comforter and big fluffy pillows. The hotel has a Starbuck's in the lobby, so Gary went down for a couple of cupps. I'm laying in bed, lap top on lap, latte on the bed stand, saying hello to my cyber family. Life is good.

Tonight we head to LP Field for the Charger/Titan game. It will be about 28 degrees, so we'll bundle up and our only care in our  world will be about first downs and high scores!

I sure hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and that the day brings you all happiness and joy.

Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday!  It is a good day.  Husband, son and I went to the 11 pm service last night for the tradtiional candle light service.  It was really nice.  Came home and got ready for bed.  I have been up since 6;45 but Gregg (husband) and son Trevor are still asleep.  My parents will be joining us for dinner.  Older son and his fiance will stop by after having dinner at her parents house.  We had them last yr. 
Life is good.

Happy Birthday Mary. I love this time in my life & I don't mind getting older.
It's a lot better than the alternative.

We are just waiting for my son & family to come over. His oldest is a teenager so he expects them to sleep longer. She will actually be 13 on New Years Eve, but has a teens mindset.
I am glad we aren't driving today, lots of ice. My son just lives 2 miles away so not too bad for him either.

Good thoughts going out to all of you.! 

Last night was wonderful.  My kids and my husband and son's girlfriend were home.  I made too much food as usual and we have leftovers for a couple of days.

Everyone opened gifts and we all got things we need.  No frivilous stuff.  Just honest to god needed stuff.

Went to 5pm mass at our church and it was standing room only.   My husband and I found two seats, not together but it was better than standing the whole mass.

Today is going to be quiet and restful.  I am thankful for that.   Tomorrow to the inlaws and Sunday to my brothers.  

I hope you all get what you wanted from Santa.  If not, then you must have been bad last year.

well so far this Christmas isn't happy here....thanks to ricks daughter!!! nobody feels like celebrating so it will be just me and rick today. his mom will be going to her other sons to see him. he doesn't want to drive here to see us....the jerk!! so like his dad!!! did i say that??? lol oh well we can relax together and do what we want to do. maybe go rent a few movies. i am off work tomorrow so we can stay up late if we want to....rick is still in bed sleeping so no opening of gifts yet. got my potatoes cooking for the scallopped potatoes. so we will be having ham, scallopped potatoes, veggies and some fruit salad. we gave ricks mom one of the hams we had. rick told her that his step dad better not eat all of it or he would be pissed!!! this step dad is the biggest jerk of all time!!! he doesn't think of anyone but himself and WILL eat everything at one sitting and doesn't care if anyone else needs to eat!!! but atleast we did the right thing by giving it to her so they had something to eat today.

raining here and windy today. hopefully it doesn't turn to freezing rain!!!

well rick is getting up so have to go now....hope you all have a wonderful MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!
