I feel for you and I know what you mean about feeling rejected. Some of my family has not spoken to me in a a year since i moved last Dec. I made the decisions that moving from NY where my property tax was almost $10,000 a year (and kept going up) to a place where I purchased a house twice the size for 1/3 of the price I sold the house in NY for. I did this so I could afford to live without the stress of having to maintain the work schedule I used to have keep so I could earn the salary I earned so I could live in NY. Anyhow.....deciding what was best for me took guts and most of siblings are still angry at me and not talking to me. It's sad. I miss them terribly and hope that one day they will come to their senses. I continue to reach out and get very short responses from some and nothing from others.
I have to fight the sadness .....sometimes I do very well and then suddenly I may have a day or two that it is overwhelming.
So far as not being able to buy lots of gifts or big gifts........I say just getting together with the ones you love, have a nice meal, bake some extra cookies for them to take home. Aren't the holidays really supposed to be about getting together with loved ones and not the gifts we get.....
I can also relate to having trouble on interviews. I worked at my last job for so many years.....As a VP in the organization I interviewed many many people but I am the WORST interviewee! I'm thinking of taking a course on interview skills.....your local unemployment office offers classes on this....you might want to check it out too.
Hang in there. I know it's harder at the holidays. Be sure to take care of yourself so you stay healthy....we are no good to ourselves or others if we let ourselves go and get sick.
I think you should feel very proud to be in a misses 14 and not in women's sizes anymore...celebrate that...enjoy the feeling and feel proud about it!!!!
I hope you feel better soon......we are in similar boats so if you want to PM me to chat feel free to do so.
I hope things ease up real soon for you!!!!
Take care!
Be well and be happy!!
Ruth
