What's New Revue for Monday 12/21
Hi George and all my OFF friends,
Oleta has my prayers as well as her family.
I'm eating lunch at my desk so I can go shopping on my lunch. I need to rebuy my great nephews clothes for birthday and christmas. I won't worry about returning the wrong sizes until after Christmas.
Hubby has a case of hives all over his body. He's seeing the physician's asst. at 1:00 p.m. I wonder if he'll fess up to her that he's been self-medicating for bronchitis. He's been taking antibiotics the knee replacement doc gave him to prepare for when he has dental work. He's been taking my cough medicine with codeine. And hubby wants to blame it on the Strawberry Hall's cough drops I got him. LOL. (He is not allergic to Strawberries.) Benadryl hasn't been helping. I hope she can get him some relief.
Hubby's co-worker was thrilled with the sewing machine tote we got her. She is a quilter and does demonstrations and charity work making quilts so she will get a lot of use from it. It makes you feel good when someone says they are putting it on their list of greatest presents ever.
Two more days and I see the grandkids. I can't wait.
The carb monster has been stalking me lately. I just had some shrimp with pasta. Too much pasta. I'll stick with protein and veggies at dinner.
The doorway puppet theatre I'm making the grandkids should be finished tonight. It is coming out so cute. I'll take pictures of it and post on here when I'm done.
We'll stop on the way to DS house and get them a prepaid cell phone. They don't have one and I worry about my DIL in the car with the kids. They live up north where if you drive off the road in a snowstorm no one will find you. Hopefully the phone service we picked will have good reception. The coverage maps they provide aren't always truthful.
I did laundry yesterday so one more load before we pack on Tuesday night should last us the five days in upstate NY. I am not looking forward to freezing my a$$ off up there. Sat. a.m. was -10*.
We got 15 inches of snow on Sat. night. Very pretty light fluffy snow. It is quite windy so it's drifting everywhere.
Need to get going.
Well wishes to everyone,
Bev

Good afternoon George and OFF family,
It's busy here at work, I'm running the show. The boss is off for 2 weeks and it's only me here.
Hubby Christmas party went well but I ate too much crappy stuff. Detoxing my body again but I know my weights okay cuz my size 6 pants fit better.
Going to spin class after work with BF Deb. Then I'll work upstairs on the machines.
Talk later, gotta go pick up a volunteer at her docs office and take her home. Hugs to all.
Hi George and my OFF family:
I've been home since 3:30 p.m. but I had to get my leg and foot iced. Stupid me ... when I was leaving my brother Ed's house this morning and getting the stuff out of the freezer, I dropped a container of frozen soup on my left foot (yup, the same one I dropped the shampoo bottle on a couple months ago!). So it really hurt all the way home. It's swollen but not bruised ... at least not yet. When I got home and unpacked and in my jammies, I iced it and elevated and read the papers and looked through the mail.
I'm so tired ... it was rush-rush weekend trip home. Nice visit, but too quick. Our family party was nice, but Jimmy-John's sandwiches aren't my idea (or anyone else in my family's other than my sister's) of a satisfying meal. Not enough meat on the sandwich ... it's all bread and lettuce. But that's what she serves every year. At least this year my brother Ed made his baked beans and they were good. It was fun watching my grandnephews Ben and Sam open their gifts and then play with them. ... especially Sam, who's very expressive. I got a stand mixer from my sister-in-law Margaret, who had me in the grab bag ... so I'm happy ... it's what I wanted (we have a $50 limit). My brother Gary got me two DVDs ... one is on backorder (the two Night at the Museum movies). And then there was a present of treats for the cats. It was also great seeing Brenda today for lunch, and a nice gift from her (unfortunately, I had nothing for her, but a big hug ... and of course, my love and appreciation). We had a nice lunch and a long chat.
It started snowing when I pulled in the driveway at home ... good timing! I'm going to get some food in the oven because I'm hungry now and so tired. Luckily, I don't have to wor****il 7 p.m. tomorrow.
George, I'm behind on the times ... what is going on with Oleta? I take it she's not doing well.
See y'all tomorrow.
