I survived spin class (more like sauna spin)

Holy Moses my friends...went to spin class after work and the room was 70 degrees. Now please remember that the classroom is normally 55 degrees.

Oh hell ya...I was one HOT grandma! My pulse got too high too count, I was surprised that no one passed out. I drank 24 oz. of water during class not to mention more water after class...then it was potty time when I got home. Oh yeah...it was a great work out, very intense but dang I hate "sauna spinning"!!!

Okay today it's back to spin class for me after work again. Hopefully it will be cooler in the classroom. I love going to classes being led by an instructor because there is no way you would push yourself that hard if it's just you.

I talked with my future sister in law and she is my spin instructor on Thursday. She is going to take me upstairs and plan out what machines I should work on and a workout schedule just for me. Yes folks, I have my own personal trainer, she is an exercise physicist, teaches at 2 different colleges and she is going to kick my butt and make me the best workout plan.

I totally love her because she works on herself. She is back down to a size 8 and I told her to keep me away from the goodies this Saturday at our family Christmas party. Right now I need the food police!! Darn...those homemade cookies are calling me

I am so impressed that you are doing a spinning class....that is difficult....remember inthe beginning to take it easy or you won't be able to continue doing it. I congratulate you on your workout plan. I think giving up the carb is very difficult and I think the door to Carb Hell is made of Ice Cream for us....so I won't even keep any in the house.

Keep up the great work.

Yes my BF got me into spinning. She did the Dalmac this year. I'm so proud of her.
When I started spinning I was the largest gal in the class, everyone just cheered me on...and they laughed when I would groan out loud.
Last night I yelled out "Oh MAMMA"...I think everyone was feeling the heat!

Is the Dalmac a Michigan ride.....I know my girlfriend is a Marathoner...she rides for Ireland. She is from Ireland and has continued to ride for them all over the world. She is 53 years old and still gets her share or medals......Even if I could ride like her...I would never be a candidate as I not very competitive....but she sure is. She is in to everything...and drags me in also...tomorrow we are supposed the sing Christmas carols for the Salvation Army Bell Ringers. She plays the accordian and drags along several of us to sing with her....but it is fun.

I think I will just keep on riding my bike for an hour every other day and watch tv while I do it...I then go do weights for my legs and my core.

Good luck, Marti
ps I bet they thought you were the Amazing Shinking Woman!!!

Yes the Dalmac is one of the big Michigan bike rides.
She left from Lansing and rode all the way to Mackinac City...long ride but she had fun.

My friend also tried to get me to go but I don't have a really  good bike to do that ride.

I'll just keep going to the gym.

Thursday I will have a new work out plan for me.

Wow - - you are an inspiration.  Don't let cookies undo all the work you've done!

I hope I can do some exercise soon - it's so good for you.

I'm down 120 pounds - thanks to RNY!  Working on the next 25.  Then I'll tackle more...

Hi Mary,
Yepper, I love to exercise, never thought I would say that one.
I like to do classes cuz they push you to your max....otherwise I'd just have a so-so workout.

I was going to the gym after work but it's starting to get icy outside. Maybe I will walk around the country block when I get home.
