Well, when I got up this morning it was not snowing.  Well, it's snowing again!  I want to go into town to get a haircut and gas in my car.  Gary just told me I have to come out and help remove the snow.  That means I'll be cold all day.  Bummer.
I'm definately going downstate this weekend, baby or not.  I have poker with the girls on Monday!  Can't miss that one.
Sure is pretty outside.  Just wish I could stay inside!
Hope everyone has a glorious day!

Good Morning Friends!

Started the day off with a frozen pipe down in the basement.  No cold water in the little bathroom.  Tried to turn up the heats and only to find out that the window was blown opened by the wind.  It is freezing down there.  I really don't know how to unthaw it and hope it doesn't burst.  ANy suggestions?

It is really cold here today.  They say the windchill factor is 0.  Great.  I hate it.

Have to go out in this later to deliver avon products.  Would rather lay in bed with a comforter around me.  It is snowing here a little now.  I hope we don't get much snow.

Well.... My dogs are pestering me to eat.  I have no idea how they know what time it is.  Every morning at 8:30 they start.  Incredible.

I hope everyone has a nice day.  Good luck with the dog Laureen.  Grammylew take care and to everyone else.  You are in my thoughts.

when we lived in a double wide years ago we had to use haird dryers to un thaw pipes...then; if they are behind a door or cupboard-leave the doors open at nite-and maybe a trickle of water coming thru...

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

We lived in a double-wide also in S.C. years ago.  There is a warming strip that plugs in that you wrap around the pipe.  You can find them at Home Depot or Lowes.  They can be left plugged in all the time if you have a frequent freezing pipe problem.  You may need an extension cord to make it reach the outlet.  These worked very well and didn't use much electricity.

Marti,
It is good to hear from you this morning.
I just got back from getting Lily dressed and took her to starbucks then school.
She sure likes to play in the  morning and  kick around. It took me about 45 minutes to gether out the door!!!!!
I am sure glad the snow has stopped for a minute in Chicago as I fly out tomorrow for the weekend. I really need to see my daughter for a much needed hair restyle!!!!!
It is about 72 here muggy and foggy. Well I think that is Florida for you.

My day will be taking Michael to the doctor to have the stitches out on his graft/av fistula and to see if it's ready to accommodate his now needed dialysis.  His kidney functioning has gone down and they are admitting him to the hospital today to start 3 days of dialysis tomorrow in the hospital setting.  I don't know what is next - will he have to have it all the time now?  Will it make him strong enough for his RNY?  (they postponed his Dec. 16 date while we wait for this.   He is doing pretty well, but looks forward to feeling better.  This is so hard.

Besides that, I'm still working on a project at work that is time sensitive and I have to be working at least part of the day - it's hard to concentrate, but I'm managing to make progress.  My boss has been very flexible with my time with all of this.  I can work at home, in the evening, etc. at times. I'm very grateful for that.

I'm down 120 pounds - thanks to RNY!  Working on the next 25.  Then I'll tackle more...

Mary:

Sorry your hubby has to go through dialysis ... it is not fun. I have had two friends and my dad who had dialysis. My friend Margie who died this summer was on dialysis for two years before she finally got a kidney transplant (she had kidney failure due to diabetes). She had her kidney for four years before she died.

I hope it all works out for him. It can be very difficult and the diet for renal patients is hard.

good morning all!
marti it is soooo exciting to have you back with us!!!probly the headache is the smoking issue-i'm proud of you! don't give in!!!

we have just a very very light dusting of snow-and big fat flakes sporadically coming down-i think it's going to pretty much miss us-sounded like it was blowing over last nite,eh melissa? !!

michael took the big tv entertainment center out of the living room last nite and we gained quite a lot of real estate! it's actually pleasing to have just the console tv there and a lamp....i'm trying to get him to see "simplicity"  so we don't overload the lil trailer!!! this morning he is already disassembling things and i need to get out and help him pack....slept in til almost 8 so not sure yet what my plan of attack is--we got lots done yesterday but it doesn't make a dent!

well-much as i love to spend my mornings here..i need to get busy so--sending hugs and prayers ...i'm sure i'll check in later!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
