Question about oatmeal
I make a packet of oatmeal with skim milk and add some delicious Da Vinci English Toffee syrup to it. It's the BEST!
My question is should one pack be sufficient because I feel like I could eat a little more. I'm trying to stay within healthy, portion control guidelines. I'm not sure if my head wants it or if it just tastes so good, I want more. Any input would be appreciated.

I'm with you.... oatmeal tastes soooo darn good its easy to eat more than we should. I have it every morning. I can even eat it cold... ( I just saw some of you shudder)... lol
I make the rough cut oatmeal. I add cranraisins to the water then when it boils I add the oatmeal and a healthy dose of cinnamon. I use soy milk........ Yum

YUM, that sounds really good. I have never had cranraisins, but they sound really good.
I love the Da Vinci English Toffee syrup. I also add it to my chocolate protein drink and it's really good. I'm really working hard to keep good eating habits and since I still can't eat very much, I've been doing great. No craving, etc. But.....I probably could eat two packets of oatmeal - lol - so I need to keep a watch on it.

I love oatmeal. I eat it almost every morning.
I use organic steel cut oats (1/3 cup raw which gives me 2/3 cup cooked).
I boil it in water and add a few raisins, cranberries, pumpkin or sunflower sees (raw not salted). Once cooked I top with 1 tsp flaxseeds ground, 1tsp flaxseed oil, chopped walnuts, cinnamon and 1tsp honey.
YUMMY!
Some days I think I can eat more but I hold off.....2/3 cup cooked is plenty for my daily calorie needs.
