Hi Eileen and all my OFF friends,
Everyone be careful getting around in this weather. We woke up to 4 inches of snow but it has been pouring rain ever since. Hubby cleaned my car off for me before he went to work. Thank goodness that pouring rain wasn't snow. We are hovering around freezing temps. Lots of wind too. Driving to work I took it slow. The public works department must have started late because the road was bumpy frozen ice chunks. It was like riding over railroad tracks. I'm being real careful with the car because we want to trade it in on a new one in Jan. This car (4 yrs. old)is a lemon. We paid it off in Aug. The warranty was up in 2008. So far this year we have paid $1800 in repairs.
I left work early yesterday because that cold is still hanging on and I had a fever. I had the chills. I need to call the doctor and have my chest x-rayed. This is starting to feel like the last time I had walking pneumonia.
Work has been crazy today. I've been pulled in six different directions. Which is why I love this job, the diversity. But sometimes . . .
I want to go shopping after work, but I don't know if I'll have the energy. I've only had 200 cal. and 17 g. of protein today so I have to figure out how to get enough in today. I think I'll have a protein bar for snack.

I just got back from the doctors. I like it . . . one stop shopping. I got an antibiotic that will take care of my chest infection and my bladder infection. I also got some cough medicine with codeine for at night.
Surprisingly, the rain has not washed away the snow. Driving will be treacherous tonight when the temp drops below freezing. I think I'll stay home instead of going shopping.

It has been a huge snow day.....I think we had at leas a foot by noon....and more expected, we are under a "Blizzard warning" for the next 12 hours....It is going to get down to 25 below tonight they say....
I sure don't plan on going out tonight...all the schools and malls and businesses are closed anyway....even clinics. It is a big wet snow so it is really quite beautidful on the trees.....
My husband ....remember him the HEART Patient with TWELVE stents in him ....Of course had to go snow blow....he LOVES it.....so at least he did wear a mask, so he would not breathe in cold air....big concession on his part...and he has a huge snowblower that is of course self propelled....and it was not enough that he did ours.....he went over and helped the obese doc across the street as he was having mucho difficulties running his new snowblower, his son was yelling at him telling him how to do it and when the son took over he fell right on his keester...
It was a good day to get things done here at home. I planned a whole dinner party and because everyone was snowed in I confirmed everyone that could come. Invitations all sent out. Also going to work on my Christmas letter....I hope.....the cards are all addressed, just need some pics or our babies to put in it.
Hope you are all having a good day.....I have an 8:40 am Class on the other side of town tomorrow and I am sure the streets will be all clean.....You get so you are a little crabby if the city doesn't have the streets all clean by the next morning....Life in Wisconsin.....but we pay very high taxes in this city and expect good service.
