Hi Cindy and everyone,
Hope every one is enjoying their day so far!

my poor DH is in so much pain it worries me.  He is in constant pain all the time from spinal stenosis and herniated disks in his lumbar area, arthritis in his neck and in his hands.  I feel so helpless when he suffers like this.

Yesterday, the nasty driving rain turned into snow for a short time and it actually stuck.  I was so happy, lol!

Our precious little grandson came for a supervised visit with his mom.  It's always wonderful to see the little guy!

Yesterday and today, I decorated our tree and now I'm happy with the way it looks!

Now I'm just chillaxing.  :)

Good Sunday morning to you Cindy and my other OFFer's. I hope that you find lots of joy in your world today.

I have been MIA for a while working on getting rid of the Itis triplets that are here with me. I went to the doctor and I have bronchitis, laryngitis and sinusitis. So I walked out of the doctor's office with an antibiotic, big bottle of cough syrup, prednisone and a script for the nebulizer. I still feel rather icky but I am getting somewhat better. Now if only the cough would stop. It is killing me....once I get to coughing (which is really more times than not) I gasp for air while I cough since I can't stop. I hate doing that.

We got the tree up yesterday. It is so pretty but we need some more ornaments on it. It looks like a bare little tree for some reason. I will look for more ornaments when I go do some shopping for the family Christmas party with my sister tomorrow. I still have a couple of pieces of furniture that needs to be moved just a bit and then it is done. There isn't going to be a lot of gifts under the tree this year but that is alright. The gifts are not the reason for the blessed holiday and so why should it matter. We have gotten several things for our little Kayden and need to get something for Shawn and for Brittany too. We are going to our nieces house for Christmas since Shawn usually spends Christmas Eve with us.

I am throwing together the Tucker (my Mom's family) Christmas party together and throwing is a good word for it too since it is a week from today. I am going shopping with my sister tomorrow for some of the stuff that we need to get and I need to pay the church for the fellowship hall and order the chicken too. We need to get the place settings and the pop along with the place mats for the tables. It is just being tossed together so it sure isn't going to be perfect but at least we are getting together..that is the main things.

It is cold here and they are expecting a pretty good snow storm this week. I think it is due either Tuesday or Wednesday and for some reason I just can't remember what day. Oh well..it is going to come when it comes regardless of whether or not I remember the day.

Bill went out hunting this morning but he should be home soon. I guess he is going to do the laundry when he gets home. He likes to do it by himself and then that way he does it the way he wants to and I am there doing what I want to do. I am on to him even if sometimes he doesn't want to agree to that. He thinks he is getting something over me and you would think that by now he would know he can't but if he wants to think he is I just let him. Let him think that he is one step ahead of me...even though we all know he isn't. ha ha

I better get going. I am sending love and hugs to all and prayers are being said for everyone too. We all are in need of something and from the sounds of it most of us need so much since it sounds like there are so many major things going on in our lives right now. I guess we never get to old for major changes do we? That may be good but some changes we would rather live without. I know you all understand what I am saying. Growing more mature is not always the wonderful things that have been promised to us.....

Share the joy with others and know that for that couple of seconds you are bringing a joy to someone life that may totally change it forever.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Hi Cindy and my OFF family:

Boy, Cindy, two days in a row ... we hardly see you and then you pop up two days in a row. Good to see you again, though ... don't be such a stranger!

Worked last night and although the stuff came in in dribs and drabs, I was fairly busy ... I had two open pages to fill and unfortunately, a lot of it came in late. I came home and watched "Christmas Vacation on a DVD and went to bed sometime about 2:30 or so. Went to sleep right away despite a leg cramp, but got up gagging about an hour later, so that wasn't good. I have to mention this is my GI doc, because this is happening more and more lately. I have an EGD scheduled Monday morning ... he checks me every two years or so for my Barrett's esophagus, but last year I had "unspecified changes", so this year I had to do it again. I have had some burning feelings in the center of my chest, where I figure my pouch must be ... so I have to ask him about that, too.

I am feeling really crappy this morning. Woke up and soon after, had to rush to the bathroom. I think it's just an IBS episode, but boy, it was not fun. I'm OK now, but I have chills too (well, I've been cold for the past couple days, but then the temperatures have dropped considerably lately. And on top of that, my knee is really hurting ... snow is predicted for all week.

I had a talk with the sports desk chief about the Christmas week schedule; I'm scheduled to work the Monday after my family get-together on Sunday, which means rushing back on Monday and then working at night. I told him I'd be glad to work Christmas Eve night instead (I'm off right now). He said he'd see if he could switch me but couldn't promise anything.

I hope to get some Christmas baking done today and maybe finish my decorating ... not much else. I'm too tired and don't feel well at all.

Well, have a good day.

Good Sunday to everyone.  DH and I just came home after attending church and having a nice brunch at a local eatery.  I am going to a jewelery party with my DIL and hubby will set up the tree while we are gone.  It has lights on it already so that will be easy for him to do.  Tonight I will hang the ornaments. Snow is falling in a soft , slow fashion and it is really pretty.
I have 99% of my shopping done and the other 1% is just stocking stuffer thingamajigs.  I will do some baking starting next week but not much...just the usual traditional frosted sugar cookies, thumbprint cookies and some microwave peanut brittle.  In the past I baked and baked and ate and ate!!  I am not the least bit tempted by sweets after WLS>  Thank YOU GOD!!    I am sending best wishes, good thoughts and prayers for those in need that are suffering, have experienced losses of loved ones and those that are sad and lonely at this time of year.

Hugs & Love to all,

Sandy
